An Unexpected Change

Chapter 7: One night in rio

I took a step Over the gap to get off the plane. There was no turning back now. I now had the chance to look forward and never back, and that was exactly what I've always wanted. The excitement was growing inside me and made me feel so much more alive than before, and It kept developing as I took step by step out the airport doors. Grayson was walking right behind me, and I lightly felt his hand slide up my waist against the hem of my shirt and we kept walking towards the exit.
"Can I use your phone? Mines dead" I said
"Sure" he handed me his phone.
I unlocked the screen, he had 13 missed calls from "Matt". The soccer game against Cornwall was tonight l, so I guess they're looking for Grayson
"Hey maybe you should tell Matt that you're in Brazil so you won't make it to the game?"
"Hahah, no I don't think that's A good idea"
"Hahah maybe You're right" I said
There was no cab waiting for us at the airport, so instead what we had to take a 30min walk to a bus station.

The bus was crowded, and probably the grossest 20 squaremetres i had ever set my foot on. people lifting their sweaty armpits in the same height as my face.

The bus drove past a motel, then It stopped, and i felt so reliefed to get off that rolling thing loaded with not so fresh brazilian people struck by the heating wave going past Rio.
