The next day George makes Sarah and I get up very early to go the garage and watch the race. We've both been placed in the Mclaren garage for the optimal PR reasons.

Fans had spotted there was a tension between me and Carlos and had started some fierce rumours about it, Amanda had done damage control and put me in the opposite garage.

I'm standing behind the half wall that separates the physical pits from the hallway, a headset on my head. Sarah and I stand right next to eachother, Oscars girl friend Lily stands beside us. We'd been chatting for a little bit prior to race start and she was so sweet. Oscar was right, she was a mega fan of my music and I couldn't appreciate it more. I followed her on instagram and she joked that she almost passed out.

As the race starts Lily had her hands clasped together praying for a speedy return of her boyfriend, unscathed.

Sarah and I had our arms looped as we watch it, holding hands. I snicker at the way we are depicted on the screen, making us look lesbian but whenever i'm with Sarah we always ended up looking a little fruity with our proximity.

"Okay," I say taking an ear off my head seat and Sarah does the same. "What should I expect?" I ask and she laughs.

"Since it's Monaco, the order of the drivers from the start will most likely stay the same, the driver who starts P1 in qualifying will most likely finish P1 in the race." She explains.

I nod, acting like part of what she is saying is making sense. "Okay, so the order of first through 20 should be pretty similar." She nods and I try to remember this.

"Okay girls, your job here is to sit tight and watch the race. React as little or as much as you want, the camera won't be on you to often." I hear a voice say through the radios.

I give a thumbs up to whoever is talking to me knowing that they'd be able to see me no matter what. Sarah snorts at how ridiculous I must look.

The lights go out above the grid and the drivers are off.

Lily grabs my other free hand and the immediately apologies and I smile, before looping our hands again. I can tell how nervous she is and if holding her hand can help ease it even a little I was glad to do what I could.

The race continues and I am told to keep my eyes on the orange and red cars, apparently the two holding the drivers i'm supposed to be rooting for.

From what I can tell, the race isn't going so great. Charles, whose home race is Monaco, is trailing behind in 7th. Not great, but apparently he is within scoring points. Lando and Oscar are in 8th and 9th and Carlos, well. He wasn't doing so great.

Lance Stoll or something had crashed into Kevin Magnussen and Carlos had been leaving the pits at that point. Something had happened, what I wasn't sure but Carlos had some damage. It had meant he had to pit again and had put him very nicely in last place.

"What's happening to him?" I ask Sarah who is the only one who knows anything about F1. She nods with gritted teeth.

"He's hit some massive, awful bad luck." She says and my heart twinges.

I'd seen Neymar loose enough games and I guess it's different when your a player amongst 20 other guys verse one driver of a two man team. Carlos every mistakes was displayed and analysed by hundreds of  people who were looking for ways to make him look bad.

Before I can make myself feel to bad I remember that it's Carlos and he's a dick.

I continue watching the race, one hand in Sarah's and one hand in Lilys.

Quicker than I can count or process the race is over, and Sarah had been right. The positions had not changed much, if at all.

Charles had gone up to 6th with Lando and Oscar swiftly behind in 7th and 8th. Carlos had DNF'd halfway through the race and had yet to be seen from the Ferrari garage, he'd moved out of view of the cameras a while ago.

Oscar had come back to the McLaren garage with Lando and he'd gone straight to the arms of his girlfriend. They shared a passionate embrace whilst Lando stood awkwardly beside Sarah with a small awkward grin. I snickered but kept my mouth shut.

Charles had gone back to his garage, alone. Apparently the girl that he had been talking to had left him. She was from the same friend group as his last three girlfriends from what Lily had told me. Carlos still was yet to be seen.

Once Oscar was done kissing Lily Oscar gave me a wide grin and a hug before giving Sarah one to, leading to an awakard Lando following suit. They were both extremely sweaty, which was unusual to me but I guess the cars must get super hot and all that jazz.

"Have you ever peed in your suit mid race?" Sarah blurts to Lando and Oscar and I snort.

Lando laughs at this, thinking she is joking. Sarah stays silent. Lando covers his laughter as best as he can. "Oh, you're being seri- I haven't. No. I have not." He says, awkwardly. Coughing to.

Sarah smiles quickly before looking away. She turns and goes in the direction of the garage exit, dragging me with her.

"Why do I say every single that comes to mind?" She asks and I laugh as I pull her close to me, putting her in a side hug.

"I love you so much Sarah." I say and she mutters the same back.

We walk down the pit lane, dodging the cameras and the people.

I have to be onstage in 20 minutes but the walk to the boat that i'm going to is only 5 minutes away.

We pass the Ferrari garage and I wave to Charles who is talking to his mechanic. He smiles before gesturing for us to wait, running over.

"Good job!" I say, giving him a hug. Sarah does the same.

"Thank you! You have your performance now, no?" He asks and I nod, the thought of it was scary but was soemthing I had to of regardless. "You've got this. Carlos and I will be watching."  He says and I grit my teeth.

"Fabulous." I say and he raises an eyebrow.

"What happened between you to. I thought there was-" He makes a gesture.

I shake my head. "No, there's definitely nothing there."

"Ah." He says and I nod. Sarah rolls her eyes.

An awakard silence settles over the three of us.

"Right well I have to go." I say, gesturing to the boat I am supposed to be on.

He nods, gesturing over his shoulder to his garage. "I should go to." He leaves, waving an awakard goodbye and Sarah and I continue our walk to the boat.

"I reckon you're wrong." She says after some time.

I look at her confused. "About what?"

She smiles. "Carlos. I think there is something there. You just refuse to see it." She says.

I let out a scoff. "What? He's an asshole!" I exclaim and she smiles wider.

"Keep telling yourself that." She says and tightens her grip on my arm.
