CARLOS POV
I knew that going out was stupid, Charles was the only reason I was here and he'd gone to talk to some girl.
"I'll get a beer, Corona please," I say to the bartender who nods before coming back a second later with an opened beer.
I turned around in my chair to watch Charles flirt, he'd just gotten out of a pretty toxic relationship and was finally taking my advice about playing the field instead of a friend group.
He smiles at me before turning his attention back to the red-headed girl, who smiles up at him.
I can't help it as my heart feels a sour pang, it had been a while since someone looked at me like that.
I sighed as I took a long sip from my drink and I scanned the room, just trying to forget about everything for a little while.
Then, my eyes land on a girl in the middle of the dance floor, her hair is framing her face as she dances without a care in the world. At the sight of her, the air is knocked out of me.
I can't help it as I watch her dance, her presence is electrifying and I'm three feet away. I watch as she laughs and her smile is gorgeous. I feel like a creep, but I can't stop looking at her as she moves with the music.
When the song stops she must feel someone watching her because she turns to look over her shoulder. We make eye contact and she smiles, her eyes are electric with adrenaline and excitement.
But god was she beautiful.
