Clover was slaying. Murdering even.

She stood there like a fucking Greek goddess in her white dress. Her curves were so defined and mouth-watering. I couldn't stop my eyes from giving her the full scan.

She looked uncomfortable, standing awkwardly at the door with Tessa. She looked around, her eyes frantic and then relaxing slightly when they fell on me. I didn't realize I was walking towards her until I was standing right in front of her.

She turned to look at Tessa, who had suddenly vanished. A quick flash of anger burned in her eyes as we both saw her and Chase dancing a few metres away.

I taught him well.

I took a step towards her.

Her head snapped back to me as I advanced. She took a step back, twisting her ankle. It looked pretty bad actually.

The next few seconds seemed to happen in slow motion.

Clover lost her balance, her hands flailing in the air. She let out a loud, outlandish scream as she fell to the floor. I watched in horror as she landed on the floor like a gigantic meteor. Her ankle popped right out of its socket. Blood splattered all over my t-shirt.

Okay, okay, maybe I'm being a little over dramatic.

Anyway, while I was contemplating saving the damsel in distress and letting her fall to her marbly death, Clover continued to fall silently to the floor. Her eyes were closed. She looked like a fucking angel. Her eyes creased at the corners as she braced herself for impact. Then like fucking superman, I swooped in and saved her.

Clover's eyes fluttered open in confusion. I was rather confused too. I honestly had no idea why I didn't let her fall. I didn't push her did I? I mean she was running away from me wasn't she?

Totally her fault.

I mean who the hell runs away from...

"Tessa made me wear them," she practically spat. I was shocked at her sudden outburst. I was expecting something more along the lines of 'Thank you' or at least something close to that. A kiss maybe?

"I'm glad she did," I said, slowly pulling her to the dance floor. The least she could do was dance with me. I saved her life.

Too much?

Okay I saved her reputation.

I suddenly felt the absence of her hand as she yanked it away. What the...? She didn't want to dance with me. Was it bad breath? Hell no. I must have said something stupid.

"Did I say something?" I asked probably looking and sounding confused.

To my surprise, she burst out laughing. She found this funny?

"No, it's just that I can't dance," she said sounding slightly unsure. She probably didn't want to risk falling again in her killer heels. Well shoes couldn't stop you from having drinks could they?

I was going to make Clover a cocktail and I had no idea why.

"Let's get you something to drink," I said, taking her hand again and pulling her into the kitchen.

I started mixing one of my favourites, a mango daiquiri. I could feel her eyes on me as I worked. I gave her the full show, making sure she got a good view of my muscles as they moved.

She looked amazed as I poured the, thick, yellow liquid into a glass.

"It's called a mango daiquiri," I said as I put a cherry on top. I had to admit, it looked gorgeous.
