I went with Oscar to the RedBull ring were he finished p4, ahead of Lando. I still hadn't spoken about the obvious to Lando, i didn't really want to.

But now I was in London for Silverstone. Oscar wanted me to come with him on this one so i agreed just to please him.

Tonight we were eating out though, just to a restaurant as tomorrow was qualy day. It was just the close group that involved Oscar, Charles, Liam, Lando and Carlos who would be tagging along for tonight.

Oscar had already left the hotel as i was 'taking to long'. I actually had an outfit already planned i just accidentally fell asleep, and got woken up by my brother knocking horrifically loud on the door to my room. So i was going to arrive late.

When i arrived there was two seats left. next to each other.

And the other person that was yet to arrive was Lando.

"Looks like your next to me" I watched how Lando wizzed past me, turning around with a smile before taking his seat next to Carlos. So i followed and took my seat that was thankfully next to Charles. I just hoped he wouldn't try and tease me about anything. If he did i wont hesitate to stab him with a fork.

"Any updates" Charles said as he leaned back into his chair.

"No"

"Ray you have to talk to him"

"I can't"

"You can, you just don't want to but you should"

"Talk things out, maybe you'll stay as friends" He added with a small smile.

I didnt even think of being friends with Lando when we first met but i guess we did turn into friends.

Strangers to friends, friends into lovers, and strangers again as they say.

But i didn't want to become a stranger to Lando. Not yet.

Not ever.

After we ate and our plates got taken away I got up from my seat and walked out. Everyone was still busy talking when i looked back.

But Lando was looking at me, concern on his face. But i kept walking until i was far away from the restaurant. I found myself at a park and sat on a bench with my knees brought up to my chest as the wind was picking up and I hadn't brought a jacket.

Stupid me for thinking to wear a singlet without bringing a jacket.

I sat in silence listening to the cars go past on the road behind me, the sound of crickets making their annoying sound and some small birds chirping away. They weren't the most pleasant sounds to listen to but its better than listening to the table of friends talking away like I wasn't there.

I felt alone at that table tonight. Charles was busy talking across the table to Carlos and Lando. oscar was talking to Liam. and me? I sat there just listening to their mixed conversations about random things.

I felt a warm sensation across my shoulders which startled me. I quickly turned around on the bench only to see Lando leaning against the bench behind me. His jacket was placed on my shoulders.

"You scared the shit out of me! Don't you know to never do that to a woman?"

"Sorry Mar. You looked cold"

"Couldn't have said anything before hand?"

"Nope" He swiftly set himself down beside me looking up at the bright stars in the sky.

"Im sorry" I broke the silence. It was too quiet for my liking.

"For what?"

"Everything Lando. I ruined us, i ruined you and im sorry for that"

"Its okay. You only ruined us because you didn't know how to...deal with it all? If that makes sense"

"No, no its does"

"You wanted to protect yourself, so you ended things before they started and i understand that but just know that I'll always wait for you"

"Don't wait for me"

"To bad. I promised myself i would the day i left your room"

"Lando!" i slapped his arm but he just laughed at my antics "Why would you do that?"

"Because all i want is you so if i have to wait i will"

"Your too good for me and this proves it."

"Don't say that. Your enough, your always enough, especially for me" He gave me a cheeky smile before looking up at the sky once more.

"I know that if our story was re-written we would have had a better meeting, had a better start, one where i was there to hold you when if was to much or when i came home to you waiting for me. Maybe it will happen. But hey, i hold every memory of us dearly to me. I'll see you tomorrow Mar"

He gave a light kiss on my forehead before walking away. His jacket still around my shoulders.

Maybe I was thinking to deep about the media. But it was probably to late to go back to Lando even if all he said was true. It would just seem embarrassing.

I opened up my messages with Charles and flung him a text to update him.
