First race of the season was in Australia and it was a great race for McLaren. Oscar grabbed his first ever race win in his home country and i came home in a close second. Obviously i would have loved another win but seeing one of my best mates, my girlfriends brother winning was actually quite cool. And hearing the Australian anthem for the fist time at a Grand Prix since Monza 21' was pretty cool too, oscar would be stoked.

Mar and i have been dating for two years now and those two years have been some of the best ever. The adventures and memories we created together was amazing. I couldn't even put it into words how much i loved that girl. Every time i saw her i swear my heart skips a few beats.

I knew i wanted to marry this girl from the first month we properly dated. She was the one for me but i knew marring someone after dating one year was a bit too soon so i played the waiting game. Planned ahead of time on how i wanted to ask her and that bring us to present time.

Standing at the front of the boat i had rented for the week. the Piastri family and lily all joined us obviously as they knew what was going to happen.

Oscar was in charge on distraction although I'm not sure he could pull through on that so lily might take over. If we needed a distraction at all.

I planned to ask her at the front of the boat at sunset. One of her favourite parts of the day, coming second because waking up next to me was an obvious first.

"Lan come jump in with me!" mar tugged on my arm to get me off the seat i was sat on. I placed my beer down and took my shirt off before grabbing her hand.

"Did i tell you, you looked beautiful today?" I whispered lowly to her. I saw the flush of red that appeared on her cheeks. I loved that it was so easy to make her blush.

I loved seeing her blush.

"Ready. 3. 2. 1. Jump!"

I resurfaced, shaking the water out of my hair. I rubbed my eyes getting the blur to go away so i could see my girl again.

arms snaked around body, holding me under my arms. I knew it was my mar within an instant. Her legs went around my torso and her head placed on my shoulder as she placed tender kisses along my collar bone.

"Don't do that" i groaned, tilting my head to the side slightly

"Why not" she giggled

"Because if you continue i could take you right here and I'm not sure anyone else would appreciate that"

"Lando!" Her hand smacked my shoulder, not hard but to get the point across.

"Mar, baby. With you looking like this and acting like that don't be surprised" I spun her around and looked her up and down, her bottom half a blur through the water.

She intertwined her hands together behind my neck, her hand playing with my hair.  Her legs still wrapped tightly around my waist as if i was going to let go.

"Are you going to keep staring at me or are you going to kiss me?" She smiled wildly at me, her face radiating happiness all over and that made me happy.

Made me so sure of my decision of proposing today. I didn't want to postpone it, i needed her to be mine like right now.

I went out with lily a few months back when mar was out. I needed lily's help on deciding a ring. I needed it perfect for her, so thats why lily helped me find the perfect one. Which happened to be the one that i had my mind set on but just needed another word on it.
