You're just making it worse
As you try to drag the end
On and on
Because you can't stand the thought
Of this coming to and end
You're just making it worse
Thinking what you had could come back
That it could be the same
If you tried to gain it back
You're just making it worse
When you say you're going to leave
Admittedly, you're lying through your teeth
Because you know deep down you can't ever leave
You're just making it worse
Working to relight that spark
Reusing your year old matches
Once you see even a speck of a spark
You're just making it worse
By not letting go
Never leaving their place
Not having anywhere else to go
You're just making it worse
Prolonging that pain
Sitting in it's flame
Trying so hard to ignore the burning pain
You're just making it worse
For you two
You're not getting anything out of this
You will never be able to
You're just making it worse
When you constantly contact them
They don't want your message
So stop trying to persuade them
You're just making it worse
Even if you think you're making it better
You're trying to revive something that died so long ago
Something that died for the better
You're just making it worse.
