          Dear heartache,

Here's my closing note

To our grand story.

I've finally learned to find peace

Without you here.

The space I built for you,

Won't hurt sitting there,

Won't hurt while waiting

For the presence of you.

I'm choosing to let go

I'm choosing to not know

Who else lies in my future.

Maybe it's not you,

Or maybe it is.

Either way, I don't care

I just know I don't need you there.

This way, I can finally stop

Weighing you down with me.

I can stop dragging you with the thing

You never wanted to be.

My closing poem,

I guess this is it.

You were a good few years,

I felt great with you here.

You've let me go

So, so long ago,

And now it's time for me to do the same.

It's time for me to blow out

Our old flickering flame.

So farewell, goodbye

Hope you have a good life.

I know you'll never see this,

Maybe that's for the better,

But I pray your future,

Is nothing for pure bliss.

         Sincerely, heart.

this is the last chapter in this poem collection. it's been nice to be able to share these with all of you, and i hope you enjoyed these poems as much as i did.
