16 hours.

Lisa slept for 16 hours straight.

Jennie tried waking her up several times but she wouldn't budge. She was out cold.

The older girl and her mom ate together and saved Lisa her portions.

Eventually, Jennie grew sleepy and tired as well so she called it a night and went to sleep.

The time was now 4am the following day and Lisa was finally waking up.

Her body ached due to her lying down for so long.

She stretched her long limbs as she lightly yawned.

The sleepy girl looked for her phone but found out it was dead.

Too lazy to look for her charger, she settled with laying down again.

Being in Korea was bringing back too many unpleasant memories of the last time she was here.

Nonetheless she would much rather be here than in Thailand with the person who caused those memories.

Her mother.

FLASHBACK

Lisa was 15 at the time. Such a kid. Her mom had just caught her and Rose kissing.
Lisa told her best friend to go home and not worry. Everything was going to be okay. Despite being hesitant to leave, Rosie made her way out quickly.

Looking back even Lisa didn't believe her own words. She was terrified about what was to come next. She was alone but she did not want Rose to whiteness what was about to unfold.

Lisa, along with her mother and step father were all sitting down having dinner. The quiet girl was merely picking at the dish in front of her, scared to look up and meet anyone's eye, especially her mother's.

"I have told your father what I saw."

Her heart dropped.

"You have done many things to disappoint me Lisa, but this, this has topped them all,"

Her mother's words were harsh and sharp, cutting into the depths of Lisa's dignity.

"I may have not always agreed with your choices but I have respected them. But this one, I simply won't. That cannot and will not happen in my house again. If that is the kind of disgusting life you choose for yourself then so be it. But you will not ruin our family name by doing so. What you two have done is unnatural and disgusting. I will not tolerate it."

With her head still low and tears streaming down her face, Lisa spoke up, "I'll tell Rosie's parents I won't be joining them anymore."

Lisa motioned to leave the table when her mother's voice stopped her.

"That won't be necessary, you will be going. I rather you there than feel shame everytime I look at you"

Lisa flinched, the words coming out of her mother's mouth were killing her slowly. She didn't have a good relationship with her before this but now it's completely destroyed.

"As I said, that will not happen under this roof again," she paused not looking up from her newspaper, "When you return your stuff will be at your Grandmothers house. I cannot stand to have someone like you living here. I will not tell her the real reason we are sending you. She is sick and the news might kill her. We are ashamed enough."
