Luke Afraid of Doctors

The boys were currently travelling to their next destination on their tour bus and this particular trip would take about a day to a day and a half.

"Guys come and eat, I heated up some chicken nuggets," Ashton called from the little kitchen of the bus.

Luke was lying on the couch with Calum and Michael watching the tv when they heard Ashton call to them. Calum and Michael shot up right away and sped to the table, but Luke still laid there on the couch. His head was hurting and he felt extremely tired. He wanted to just go to bed but it was only noon and he wanted to hang with his friends for a while. So he just pushed it aside walked to the table.

As he ate, he tried to hide his tiredness and it worked pretty well, considering the lads didn't notice anything. But he was struggling to keep his eyes open as they sat playing video games afterwards.

"Hey Luke you look kind of tired, why don't you go take a nap?" Calum said and Luke silently blessed him.

He just nodded and smiled at him and then walked off to his bunk. When he laid down, he could feel the blood pounding in his ears and tried his best to not whimper in pain. He pulled out his phone sending a quick text to his mom telling her how much he missed her, and that he was feeling a bit under the weather. He wished she was here with him, massaging his head and humming him to sleep, but she was all the way in Australia and he wouldn't give her the trouble of coming all the way to him. That would be selfish.

She replied with, "Oh my poor baby. Wish I could be there with you 😢😘 Just have the boys look after you and you'll be good as new. Love you lots!"

He wasn't so sure what she meant by that, but just let it go as a weird mom thing. He quickly replied and placed his phone down next to him; falling asleep rather quickly.

Luke's mother was greatly worried about her baby boy and felt terrible that she couldn't be there to take care of him. But she knew that Calum, Ashton and Michael were all professionally trained doctors and had gone to school for it. Only she knew this about them, because Luke was a little iffy about doctors-he has been ever since he was little. So she secretly texted Ashton asking him and the others to keep an eye on Luke.

It was now almost 10:00 at night when Ashton checked his phone. He saw a text from Luke's mom and opened it curiously.

Luke's mum: "Hello Ashton, Luke has texted me saying that he feels a bit under the weather and I was hoping you and the lads could check on him for me. Hope you're doing well ☺️."

He thought for a moment and did remember seeing Luke looking a bit peeky earlier, "Don't worry Mrs. H, we'll make sure he's fine. Thanks for letting me know 😊."

Ashton told Calum and Michael and they all agreed that Luke had seemed a bit off. They decided to just leave it until the morning to check on him.

Luke twisted and turned in his bunk as the night rolled on and then just when the sun has started to come up, he jolted awake. He was covered in sweat and his covers were kicked into a ball at his feet. He realized that his head and increased in pain and his stomach had a dull pain starting. He groaned at the thought of being ill on tour. This was the time to please the thousands of fans waiting to hear him sing; not the time to be laying around ill. Looking at the time, it was only 6:00 am so he just decided to go back to sleep and maybe tell the lads when he woke up.
