Volleyball Gymnasium. 7:17 pm.

Sana's POV

The practice match was finally over. Our team ended up winning, 25 - 23. Everyone was cooling off while the coaches told us that we were going to have a meeting after this. I felt nauseous after running around for hours with short breaks in the middle of it. After cooling off, I sat down with my head on my knees, trying to hold in my puke. Was I always this weak? I've never had this issues back then when I played in junior high.

"Hey, do you want to go to the infirmary? I can carry you if your knees are too weak." the dark olive brown haired ace bended on his knees, ruffling my hair while offering his help.

Every time he made physical contact towards me, I felt weird but in a good way. It was comforting as I might have been touch deprived for a long time now.

"I just have to go to the bathroom. I kind of felt like throwing up." I admitted how I was feeling at that moment to him, while making gagging sounds. Maybe letting him help me won't be bad.

"Come on, I'll accompany you." he took both of my hands gently, pulling them gently as I stood in front of him. He then touched my lower back to lead me the way to the bathroom. I felt my cheeks heat up again, flustered at every move he did.

We walked to the bathroom in silence. The silence felt nice after the constant sounds of the volleyball sounds kept hitting the squeaky floor. He helped me open the door.

"I'll wait outside, okay? If you need help, just yell my name." he affirmed me while smiling, tilting his head. Shit, that was kind of adorable look coming from a buff guy.

"Uh, yeah... s-ure." I replied to him in a stutter. Get it together, girl. He's not all that. Although, he is cute and thoughtful.

I started letting all my puke out in the toilet bowl. That was really disgusting. I walked out from the bathroom stall to wash my face and rinse my mouth. The chelated aftertaste in my mouth lingered after my puking session. I forgot to bring my towel then I was about to ask Ushijima for a towel when he already walked in.

"I thought you needed this. Don't worry, it's unused and clean."

"Thank you but you really need to get out now. What if somebody sees and misunderstands this?" I thanked him but quickly grabbed his hand and walked out before somebody else could have seen us.

"We didn't do anything wrong, though." he spoke up again. "What did you think we were going to do in there?" he asked me with another stoic expression of his.

"No, no-thing. I was just umm... I didn't want people spreading bad rumors about you or anything. You have a bright future after all." I answered him assuredly, shaking my head furiously for 'having those kind of thoughts'.

My hand was still grabbing Ushijima's wrist and I let it go once I realized it but only for him to lay a hold of mine. I knew his hand would be big but I was still shocked when his whole hand could wrap mine that easily. He caressed my thumb lightly while his gaze softened when we held eye contact. My eyes widened and remained frozen, processing the current situation.

"We're still going to meet up after the club's meeting right?" he broke the silence with a question.

"Yeah, s-ure." I stuttered again answering because of how nervous I was. I looked down, not daring to look into his eyes again after the constant humiliating stutters I made with my cheeks reddened.

"Good then." he replied shortly and let go of my hand. I wish he held my hand longer as I came soon to realize how much I crave physical touch.

We walked towards the gym in silence again but it was a different kind of silence as it felt comfortable. The air felt more refreshing as the sun started setting. The meeting almost started as they were waiting for me and Ushijima to return.
