"TEA?" SUGURU OFFERED, A SWEET smile on his face. "no, i'm good. but thanks, suguru" you spoke. suguru then sat on the couch, pulling you onto his lap. you blushed at the action. "you're cute when you're flustered, n/n" suguru complimented, making you giggle. he took a sip from his cup, humming when your hand made your way into his hair.

"HEY, I'M STILL HERE, YOU KNOW! IF YOU LET ME GO, I'LL STOP BEING A CURSE USER!" right, suguru trapped the guy with one of his curses. he was being incredibly annoying..

"what if you grew out your hair?" you suggested. "can i ask why you say that?" "it'd be fun to style!" suguru chuckled. "we'll have to see then" he replied, tucking some hair behind your ear. "I'LL LEAVE Q TOO! I'LL LIVE ON A FARM OR SOMETHING!"

suguru turned to him, putting a hand up to his ear. "i know you can hear me!" the curse user exclaimed. "as if a curse user could cut it as a farmer.." he muttered, taking another sip of his tea. "we have our strongest guy out there! that white-haired bastard won't stand a chance!"

you heard your phone go off, opening it. satoru had sent you a picture. you chuckled at the irony of the situation. "this him?" you asked as you showed the curse user your screen. his silence spoke volumes, making you laugh. "that's what i thought" you added before closing your phone's cover.

moments later, satoru walked into the room. "yo, satoru!" you greeted, making the male smile. "so this is the vessel?" he asked, walking over to the young girl. "yep. riko amanai" suguru replied. satoru picked her up. "she's so young.." you spoke as you inspected her more closely. "poor girl.."

you tensed up as her eyes began to open. riko looked at satoru, confused. "oh, you're awake" he said. a loud slap resounded throughout the room. satoru dropped riko as he held onto his now bruised cheek. "satoru!" you cried out. he simply grumbled under his breath. "please calm down, amanai. we aren't with the group that attacked you" suguru explained, placing a hand on satoru's shoulder. "yeah, sure you aren't! and what's with those crazy bangs and their eye bags??" riko exclaimed, motioning to him and you.

"this is because of my technique.." you murmur. suguru tilted his head with a sweet smile, taking a glance at satoru. they both approached her, each grabbing her arms and legs respectively. they began pulling on her. "wait, what're you two doing??" you asked as the door opened. a woman on top of one of suguru's curses rode in, looking at the four of you. the boys dropped riko, making her groan.

"riko, these students happen to be our allies!" she said. "kuroi? what're you riding on?" riko asked, sitting up. "oh, it's all thanks to crazy bangs here!" kuroi spoke, motioning to suguru. "would you stop calling me that?" he said, embarrassed. you chuckled at the nickname. "'crazy bangs..'" you tease, snickering to yourself.

"oh!" riko said as she stood to her feet. "now, many mistake assimilation for death, like you three do. but that couldn't be more wrong! i will become tengen just as he will become me! my soul will carry on afterwards!" she explained eagerly. however, suguru and satoru tuned her out. "hey, i'm talking!" she exclaimed.

"you probably don't have a lot of friends with that attitude" satoru spoke. "we won't even feel bad sending you off" suguru added. "i'm so sorry for them!" you said, bowing to riko. "i have so many friends at school! wait- kuroi, what time is it?" "it's almost noon, but i think now's hardly the time-" "nono! i'm going to school!" riko protested. kuroi sighed, allowing it as riko walked out.

you turned to the two boys. "you two are assholes!" you said, pointing a finger at them. "whaaaaat? noooooo..." they said in unison, grins on their faces. cursed energy illuminated your hand. "counted sheep" you mutter as a sheep appeared at your side. it bit at their shins, making them yelp. you unsummoned the sheep.

suguru seized your hip, his hand resting on it. "apologies, n/n" he said as satoru rubbed his shins. "you better be sorry. anyways, let's go! we got a girl to protect!" you said as everybody followed after riko.

the four of you sat around the school pool, talking about your current situation. you sat between suguru's legs as you skipped rocks against the water. you watched the rock sink. "is there something wrong? you have that look on your face" your boyfriend asked. "it's just..knowing that you only have a few days left as yourself..that sounds horrifying.." you spoke.

"yeah, that's exactly why i didn't have a problem with her coming to school. she doesn't really have a lot of people in her life, it's mainly just her friends and i" kuroi explained. "so that means..you're her family, right?" suguru said, smiling. the maid tensed up before nodding. "yes, exactly!" she said proudly.

"suguru~" satoru called out. "are you sensing anything? it really sucks that she wouldn't let us follow her inside the school.." he said, obviously pissed.

suguru concentrated for a moment before his eyes widened. "let's get going" he said as he stood up. "two of my curses have been killed" he added, now heading towards the school. you, kuroi, and satoru exchanged glances before following him.
