"ARE YOU OKAY? YOUR EYES are all puffy" suguru spoke as he approached you. "just..irritated my eyes a bit..have you lost weight..?" you asked. "just a bit.." he placed a hand under your chin, making you look at him. suguru tried reading your expression. "you look terrified. are you sure you're alright?" he asked.

you gulped, deciding to finally have your questions answered. "y-you killed 112 people..true or false..?" you queried. suguru moved his hand from your chin. "suppose you've been talking with satoru. it makes sense he'd tell you" "true or false, suguru?"

he hummed. "true" he stated bluntly. "why?? how could you even think of doing something like that?!" you asked. suguru leaned against a railing. "do you know what a curse tastes like, n/n? it tastes like a dirty rag used to clean up vomit" he spoke. you furrowed your eyebrows. "point being..?" "who do i swallow curses for? to protect those who can't protect themselves. curses only exist because of those same people as well" suguru explained. "hence why i'm deciding to eradicate them, so there aren't any more curses."

you couldn't believe what you were hearing. "are you fucking serious, suguru? killing citizens is beyond cruel..besides, what would be the point of there being jujutsu sorcerers if there aren't any curses?"

suguru sighed. "i wouldn't expect you to understand, y/n. not right now, anyways" he spoke. "i understand completely! you want to kill innocent people!" "and that's all you hear. i'm not murdering just to murder. there's purpose and significance behind it too."

you fell silent, not sure of what to say. you should call satoru, right? you reached for your phone. "yu haibara was killed by a special grade" suguru spoke, making you freeze in place. "he'd still be alive if curses didn't exist. in a world without curses, more people would be able to die normal deaths. getting rid of non-sorcerers is the best way to protect everyone. and you want to keep everyone safe, right?"

"..y-yeah..i do.." you hesitantly replied. "then why not help me? that way, we can grow old together like we've talked about. it'll be us against the world." you stared at suguru. you'd be able to have your happy ending. no more exorcising curses. you wouldn't have to worry about your technique being insanely strong..

what were you thinking?? he's asking you to help murder innocent people! "suguru..no. it goes against everything i stand for. i'm not even sure how to feel about you anymore.." you told him as you pulled your phone from your pocket, calling satoru.

"hm..suppose that means we're enemies now" suguru said. you furrowed your eyebrows. "if that's how it has to be..then so be it." the call picked up. "i found suguru, i'm with him in shinjuku" you told him. you hummed in reponse, hanging up afterwards.

"you'd go on thinking that this entire incident was your fault, am i right? you'll blame yourself for how i turned out, how we turned out" he said. you didn't say anything. you argued that it was probably because he was right.

"even when i've done wrong, believe when i say that i'm partly doing this for you too. you're the best that's ever happened to me, n/n. i don't regret loving you and you'll be the hardest thing for me to get over. maybe in another life, we'll be together and have our happily ever after" suguru rambled.

you faced him. "..goodbye, suguru. i hope you're able to find peace and realize the mistake you're making." you walked away from him, calling shoko for her to pick you up.

"how are they?" satoru questioned as he approached shoko. "they haven't left their room since we got back. they're going through it right now, and they won't talk to me about it" shoko explained.

satoru could only imagine what pain you were going through. your boyfriend went crazy and murdered a large chunk of people. satoru had an idea of what suguru's morals were and how he saw things. you were kept in the dark about that type of thing, since it might've ruined your relationship. he gripped onto his uniform.

"let's just give them some time..we all need some time to think about what happened.." satoru suggested. shoko nodded, walking off.

hours passed before you decided to leave your room. the sky was dark as you walked through the hallways. you knocked on the door. moments later, satoru opened it. he was shocked by your presence and appearance. your eyes were red, the bags under them more visible. dried tears stained your cheeks as you trembled. seeing you like this hurt satoru's heart.

without saying anything, you embraced satoru. he was shocked at first, but returned it. you both slid to the floor, sitting in satoru's doorway in each other's arms.

suguru had abandoned the relationship he had with you, shoko, and himself. he wouldn't let it crumble any further.

for you, he would do anything to make you feel like yourself. he'd kiss those tears away. he'd be your shoulder to cry on if you needed it. he'd listen to whatever you had to say, even if he himself didn't understand it. he wouldn't leave you alone to suffer like this.

satoru wouldn't leave you to rot like suguru did.
