Chapter 27: A Final Confession

3rd person POV:

Jeonguk's eyes scanned the darkness, his heart racing with anticipation. He had managed to escape from the police, and now he had one final goal: to see Taehyung one last time.

As he approached Taehyung's apartment, his hands trembled with nervousness. He knew this would be his last chance to confess his feelings, to tell Taehyung the truth.

Taehyung opened the door, his eyes widening in shock as he saw Jeonguk standing before him.

"Jeonguk, what are you doing here?" Taehyung asked, his voice firm but laced with a hint of fear.

"I had to see you, pup," Jeonguk said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I had to tell you the truth."

Taehyung's eyes narrowed, but he stepped aside, allowing Jeonguk to enter.

"Say what you need to say, Jeonguk," Taehyung said, his voice cold but curious.

Jeonguk's eyes locked onto Taehyung's, his heart pouring out all the emotions he had kept hidden for so long.

"Taehyung, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special. I loved you, Taehyung. I loved you with all my heart and soul."

Taehyung's expression softened, his eyes filling with a mix of sadness and pity.

"Jeonguk, I...I don't know what to say."

Jeonguk's face contorted in anguish, his voice cracking with emotion.

"I know you can never love me back, Taehyung. But I had to tell you. I had to let you know how I feel."

Taehyung's eyes welled up with tears, his voice barely audible.

"Jeonguk, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry it had to end like this."

Jeonguk's eyes filled with tears, his heart shattering into a million pieces.

"Goodbye, Taehyung," Jeonguk whispered, his voice barely audible. "Goodbye, my love."

With a final glance at Taehyung, Jeonguk turned and walked away, his footsteps echoing in the silence.

Taehyung's eyes followed him, his heart heavy with sorrow.

"Jeonguk, wait!" Taehyung called out, but it was too late.

Jeonguk disappeared into the night, leaving Taehyung alone with his tears.

The next morning, Taehyung received a call from the police. Jeonguk had been found dead, his body cold and stiff in an alleyway.

Taehyung's eyes filled with tears as he remembered their final meeting, Jeonguk's words echoing in his mind.

"Goodbye, Taehyung. Goodbye, my love ❤

Taehyung's eyes welled up with tears as he remembered the last time he saw Jeonguk. He couldn't believe it had ended like this. He felt a mix of emotions: sadness, guilt, and regret.

As he arrived at the police station, Taehyung saw Jeonguk's body lying on the ground, his eyes closed, his face pale. Taehyung's heart ached as he realized that Jeonguk had taken his own life.

"Why, Jeonguk?" Taehyung whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "Why did you have to go like this?"

The police officer handed Taehyung a note, Jeonguk's final words.

"Taehyung, I'm sorry. I couldn't bear the thought of living without you. I loved you until the end. -Jeonguk"

Taehyung's tears fell like rain as he read the note, his heart shattering into a million pieces. He felt a deep regret for not being able to see the pain Jeonguk was in, for not being able to save him.

As he stood there, Taehyung realized that he had been blind to Jeonguk's feelings, that he had ignored the signs. He felt a deep sorrow for the pain he had caused, for the love that had been unrequited.

"Jeonguk, I'm so sorry," Taehyung whispered, his voice barely audible. "I wish I could have seen, I wish I could have saved you."

The funeral was a blur, but Taehyung remembered the tears, the sorrow, and the regret. He knew he would carry the weight of Jeonguk's love and death with him forever.

As he stood by the grave, Taehyung whispered a final goodbye.

"Goodbye, Jeonguk. I'll never forget you. I'll never forget the love you had for me."
