"That is not all. Mythicas all receive additional powers, along with those who become a protector or as some call them guardians." I say suddenly, catching them both off guard.

They stare back at me like I have officially gone crazy. I know it's weird, and it is probably confusing. I just hope I can make them understand. Well, understand as much as I understand. Yes, I have gone years trying to find everything there is in the world about who I am and what my history is, but in the end, there are still things that even I don't fully understand.

Colton speaks up at this new information, "Additional powers? Like what? Also what in the world is a protector or guardian? Look, I was on the same track as you, but this makes you seem like one of us has derailed." Ash nods his head in agreement, seeing as they both are on the same page, I start over.

"Mythicas are very powerful beings, Some might argue the point of dangerous because of that. On top of the combination of each main specie, they are granted an additional power, anything from flying to teleportation to invisibility. It just depends on what they are going to need the most in their lifetimes. Understand so far?" I ask after having explained a little more.

The men nod their heads but before I say mush more Ash speaks up. "What is your power? Or have you not received it yet because it is like age based or something?" He looks at me in a questioning type way, trying to answer all the unanswered questions he has running through his head just by looking at me. Actually, now that I have glanced over to Colton, they are both looking at me like that.

"I will get to that, but first let me explain the guardians. Once a Mythica is well know around the world, most often others beings start to hunt them down to kill them. Mythicas are seen as a threat to other people, people are afraid of the amount of power a Mythica can hold. So the gods and goddess have created a solution to help keep the previous Mythicas alive. Which is why we call them protectors. Each Mythica is granted three guardians, one of each of the main species. I have yet to find mine." I answer the unspoken question, we all know they were about to ask if I had mine yet.

"Guardians are anyone the Mythicas see fit, although it has been report that they will end up feeling a pull towards these people. Kind of like a mate bound, but less strong. Once a Mythica finds all three of their protectors, they hold a ceremony where the guardians become stronger, strong then even an alpha. But the most importantly getting an additional power. For them, their powers are more simple, they receive a gift from another species. For example, a werewolf guardian might get the speed of a vampire. Or a witch might be able to hear and see like a shifter would. Everyone is different so they each will have a different gift after the ceremony." I hope I explained that well enough, Guardians and their powers have always been confusing because no two has ever had the same.

Colton speaks up, "I can't speak for my father, but I understand for the most part. I can sense that it is hard to explain because I assume like the Mythicas, every guardian would get a unique power to them. But you never said what your power was." I was hoping he would have forgotten that, but I nod anyway, but direct my attention to Ash to make sure he is on the same page.

He nods, and gestures for me to answer Colton's question. "Teleportation, I can picture anywhere in the world, it works best if I personally have been there. And teleport not only myself but groups of others as well. I can only assume, but I believe that once I have found my guardians, I will be able to teleport more and more people." I look down to my lap before a continue. "That isn't all. I have recently discovered that with my teleportation powers, I am able to go into what many call the in-between. I can go into a space where I can see and hear everything but no one can see or hear me. It is also the best place to practice magic because nothing that I do is permanent."

Wonderment crosses their faces, they are in awe about this power. "That is so cool." Colton muttered under his breath.

We sit in silence for a few minutes, None of us having much to say. They need time to adjust to all of the new information I just gave them. Ash being the dad he is, speaks first. "I think we all need to take the night to think, Colton why don't you stay the night tonight, I can make dinner and we can just have a peaceful night before we figure out where to go from here tomorrow. Juniper, Honey, I am sure you are exhausted after everything you had gone through. I believe a nice quite night will be helpful."

We both nod our heads in agreement to Ash's statement. "Let me make dinner, it's the least I can to after throwing all this information at you." I tell Ash, I feel like it's only fair, I know how to cook. "Oh, Honey no need, you are the guest here." Ash tries to tell me off.

"Please, it is really no problem, Anyway, it would help my practice my magic after being down for the count for a few days." I tell him, I really want to do this for him, and I guess for myself. Allowing my magic to run freely for the first time since I have been awake will be nice. I think Ash finally understands that this is not just something I want to do because I feel bad, but something I need to do in order to feel a little like me again.

He nods, allowing me to stand and head to the kitchen leaving the men to themselves. "Are you two allergic to anything before I start?" It is important for me to know if I plan on cooking something they will be able to eat.

Colton answers me this time, "Nope, anything works, thank you." I nod in his direction so he knows that I heard him. I reach to the side of the fridge and grab an apron.

Allowing my shadows from my demon side to feel around the kitchen, telling me where everything and anything is. I decided that I will be making stuffed bell peppers with butternut squash as a side. A large and complicated dinner to make for just one person. But I think it will be worth is in the long run, that and with the help of my magic and shadows, this will be easy to accomplish.

I yell out to the boys, "don't be alarmed if you see anything out of the ordinary happening in the kitchen. I will be using different parts of my magic to make cooking dinner easier and faster. I should be done shortly." I don't wait for their response before I quickly get to work after washing my hands.

Knowing I can let me magic take most control of cooking, I allow my mind to wander. "Scarlet, do you think we are doing the right thing" I ask my fox. I worried that we are making a mistake. I told them everything, what if we can't actually trust them, what if they hurt us. "Junie, you have to trust yourself, we both know that if deep down you didn't feel like they were worthy of knowing, we wouldn't still be here. Let alone cooking them dinner." Scarlet tells me. I know she's right, I just get in my head sometimes. I let my thoughts do as they will, and allow myself to focus on cooking.

"Colton, Ash. Dinner is almost done. Please come sit at the table." The boys get up, continuing with their conversation. Once they sit down, my shadows reach out, placing plates and silverware on the table in front of them.

They stop talking seeing this, staring in awe at my helping shadows. As my magic lays potholders and the pots on the table. I turn around the kitchen island coming to the table, knowing that my shadows are turning everything off as I walk. "Dinner is served, Stuffed bell peppers and butternut squash at your service." I tell them as I sit down at the table.

"Juniper, Honey, that was amazing, thank you for cooking us dinner. Everything looks delicious." Ash tells me before they start to dig in. I smile at him as we drift into different conversations.

I had my first normal dinner in a long time, enjoying the company and conversations. I allow myself to relax for now. Ash wont let me clean up, so he send me and Colton to our rooms for the night. Saying it was going to be a long day tomorrow and to get our rest.

So I head back into the same room I woke up in, to tired to take a shower. I immediately get into bed, allowing my shadows to wander the room and letting myself get some sleep. Ash was right, tomorrow was going to be a long day. And I was going to need all the sleep I could get.
