Even the light holds the dark

Goodbye

It has been a whole week since Mikey became normal. He hasn't said a word to anyone, he's isolated him self in his room barely coming out. Sometimes he goes days without leaving his room and that meant he wasn't eating or drinking, which obviously wasn't good. What was left of his brothers, Donnie and Leo, had so much conflicted feeling towards him they decided to leave him at peace in his room. They were scared of Mikey, they had no idea what happened through this all, but somehow they all knew it wasn't him. In that same week the family mourned for the loss of their brother, Raphael. All this madness that rampaged through the sewers was something that will never be forgotten.
(Time skip)
Leo and Donnie had grabbed some of Raphs things, his mask, sais, comics, and basically anything else he used. They headed out of the lair and to a part of the sewers that know one ever checked. Using a make shift raft they set Raphs things inside and let it float down the sewer tunnel. In between all of his things they placed small tea candles, it was beautiful how the flickering flames reflections danced across the water.
Slowly it made its way down, till the last bit of gleaming light faded into the never ending darkness of the tunnels in front of them. Tears escaped there eyes as they sat there in silence, but finally that broke.
"I'm going to miss him." Donnie half whispered. Leo looked over at his younger brother and gave a small smile.
"Me too..."

Mikey sat in his room, just staring blankly at the floor beneath him. His feet dangled off his bed and he fiddled with his mask in his hand. He couldn't go on anymore, he needed to end himself. He had planed this before, but after what happened he had to. He started to cry in controllably as he thought of every thing he did and how his brothers are going to react. He got up from his bed and picked up a pen and paper.
Dear brothers,
I'm sorry doesn't even start to mend what I did. I don't know what will be happening by the time you read this, but I'm going to explain every thing that happened. I'm the youngest in the family and you guys where the only ones I looked up to, my big brothers, but all you guys saw me as was a screw up. Years of that passed where I still looked up to you, despite the harsh things you said to me. All the time that went by, depression built up and I resorted to hurting myself for you guys. It may seem silly, but when people constantly blame you for things, but don't tell you really why you do the unimaginable. When you guys finally found out that day and I ran away I started to hear a voice in my head saying it would protect me and help me gain your respect, all I ever wanted was your respect, so I told it okay. It told me to do things I didn't want to do, it told me to hurt you guys, I refused. It got angry at me and took control over my actions. I became my own conscious, I forcefully had to watch it hurt you guys. When it killed raph I tried with all my might to stop every thing, I somehow got rid of it and I could move again. When I did I started to cough up some black ooze, I'm not sure why. I saw you comforting Donnie after he broke down so I tried to move over to you guys for help, I was hurting so much, but you told me to go away, like you didn't want me ever again. I don't know why I was so hurt by that but I then knew nothing would be the same and I don't want to live like that. I can't live like that. I'm already depressed and going on is no point so I'm taking my life. I'm sorry for all this, if I wasn't here then none of this would have happened and I don't want that again. Please forgive me, I won't ever know if you will so I'm going to hope you will. I love and still look up to you guys.
