Once lunch time came around, the group that invited Xiumin and I to lunch sat around one of the cafeteria tables once all of us got our lunches and started eating.
"Minseok, it's been a long time since we've talked to you" one of our classmates say in a smile.
Xiumin looked up at the classmate and then down at his food as he continued eating.
"Hey, why're you being so rude, why aren't you answering me?!" The classmate asks, now pissed off.
"Don't get mad at him, it's just hard for him to talk to people." I say, defending Xiumin.
"That's a load of bull, of course he can talk, it's not like he doesn't have a voice" the classmate says now more angry.
Xiumin rolled his eyes, he didn't want anything to do with what the classmate was saying and stood up and left the table, not bothering to bring his lunch with him.
"Wah, he's really something" the classmate says, rolling his eyes.
I just sighed as I got up and followed Xiumin outside of the cafeteria and stopped him walking by his shoulder and say "Xiumin, if you don't try talking to anyone your people skills won't get any better...that's the whole reason why you're in this school right now, to help your people skills... He was just trying to be friendly." I says, seriously.
Xiumin sighed as he wiggled his shoulder getting out of my grip, turns around and continues walking until I grabbed his shoulder yet again and stopped him.
"Let go of me." Xiumin says in a stern voice, looking back at me in a glare.
I've never seen Xiumin so serious in my life and it's not like he's ever used that tone of voice to me before so I was a little taken a back and let go of his shoulder and let him walk away.
I watched him walk down to the end of the hallway but then followed him from there and secretly following him where he was going.
I followed Xiumin all the way outside until he got to the back of the school and he just hit his back against the wall and looked down, crying.
Why was Xiumin crying...it's not like anyone said anything wrong to him.
I then come out from where I was hiding and go in front of him as I ask "Xiumin, are you alright?"
Xiumin looked up at me and then looked down with tears still rushing down his face as he says "n-no."
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"I'm not ready...I don't belong here...I'm an outcast, everyone knows me as that kid who got raped in middle school and is either looking at me in pity or looking at me like I'm some kind of joke, I can't take it! And when you agreed to eat lunch with those people I could tell they all wanted to just make fun of me..." Xiumin says, crying even harder, now covering his face.
I never knew Xiumin felt that way...maybe he wasn't ready to go back to school just yet, but Xiumin then continued to say "I want to stay here...I really do...I want to learn and spend more time with you and get use to the outside environment...I do...but I can't help but feel everyone is teasing me behind my back..." Xiumin says, wiping his tears with his hands.
I look at Xiumin seriously, taking his hands away from his face so he was looking at me with the tears still coming from his eyes. I then bring my hand up and wipe Xiumin's tears away and say as sincere as possible "Xiumin...I love you, and if someone tries doing something to you, I won't let any of them hurt you...if you think someone is talking about you behind your back, tell me and I'll confront them...I'll do anything for you Xiumin, for you to feel safe, or to feel loved I'll do anything...so don't feel upset or scared about this new school, and try adapting to the new environment because I'll be right behind you the whole step of the way...I'll always be...by your side." I say in a smile.
Xiumin looked up at me with his eyes starting to get watery again as he says "L-Luhan...thank you!" As Xiumin says that, he wraps his arms around me and hugs me tightly.
I hug Xiumin back and with that I then kiss him which left him flustered and shocked. "L-Luge, why'd you do that?" He asks in an adorable stutter.
"Because I wanted to" I replied back, kissing him once again.
