"Is Miss Kim going to be alright?" I ask one of the nurses coming out of the room.
The nurse looked at Xiumin and I seriously as he says in a sigh "once we got her into the room for surgery...we were too late I-I'm sorry for your loss..." The nurse says, looking at both Xiumin and I in a frown.
I looked over at Xiumin and he was even more shocked than I was, his eyes were opened so wide, his jaw dropped and he grabbed his chest.
He looked at me, and then down at the ground as he fell to his knees, with slow tears starting to rush down his face.
I kneeled down beside him, hugging him and tried comforting him, but I knew it was going to take a while until he got used to his mother not being there.
I took Xiumin home, he couldn't see his mother now anyway even if he wanted to, and once we got back to the house, I locked the front door behind us and Xiumin walked up into his mothers bedroom, laying down on her bed.
I lay myself next to Xiumin, wrapping him in my arms as I say "Xiumin, it'll be alright."
Xiumin turned his body so his head was on my chest and he started crying into it, I wanted to make him feel better but the only thing I could do, was rub his back and comfort him.
The morning came, and as I woke up Xiumin was still in my arms and his eyes were yet pink and puffy.
I hated it whenever Xiumin cried...
Like every day, I walk downstairs first to see breakfast laid out on the table, and whenever I woke up first, I guess Xiumin was used to being in my arms when he sleeps because he would wake up a minute or so afterwards.
Xiumin then comes down into the dining room, sitting at the table and looking at the food.
"Come on Xiumin, eat something~" I say, putting pancakes on his plate and pouring syrup over top.
I then hear a knock coming from the front door. I get up from my seat, looking at Xiumin seriously as I say "when I come back I want to see you finished at least one pancake." I say, giving him one last glance before I turn my head to walk to the door.
When I opened the front door I then see a man well in his late thirties with a suitcase by his side as I ask "who're you?"
"This is where Kim Minseok lives, right?" The man asks, looking past me, inside.
I then say a long "y-es...why do you want to know?"
"I'm Kim Minseok's father...I got a call late in the night saying I have to take him into custody so that's why I'm here...what I should really know is...who're you?"
I look up at the man in a glare as I say "My names Luhan, I was helping Xiumin while his mother was in the hospital, we're eating breakfast now." I say, for some reason something about him made me not like him.
"Oh, may I come in, I haven't ate breakfast either and I'm starving." Xiumin's father asks.
It's not like I could appose to letting him in. I sigh, moving out of the way for his father to walk inside.
As Xiumins father came inside, he walked where the dining room was with me right behind him the whole time.
"Minseok" Xiumin's father says, entering the dining room where Xiumin was eating his pancake.
Xiumin took one look at his father and then at me as he ran to me and hid behind me, scared of his father.
"Why's he acting like that...I know I haven't seen him since he was younger but he shouldn't be acting like that...he's a teenager, right?"
