After the Crown Prince Alberu finished the meetings with the other Nobles he was finally able to retreat into his office. A lot of things happen. A lot of things he could never anticipate. The biggest of which would be Young Master Kim.

Alberu sighed as he recalled his first interaction with the twins. He had been curious about them for a while since the rumours of Cale's change in demeanour and more so the older twin's recovery. It was already surprising that Young Master Cale wasn't acting up even during their first interaction. What truly gave Alberu chills was Kim's greeting.

Never could he anticipate ever meeting someone so similar to him. What's more, he had to do his best to cover up any hint of his cheeks heating up. He did not expect the twins to be as good-looking as they were Kim, especially. If he didn't know any better, he would've thought of him as female, his long hair didn't help either. But even more strange earlier in the feast when Kim and himself first made eye contact, he could feel a strange sensation. Never in his life had he ever felt anything like it.

What's even stranger is the sheer power that emanated from the twins. However, he suspects that only people of a certain level of strength could sense it at all. It was an aura, that reminded him slightly of the powers used by members of the churches of the different gods. However, theirs felt much more intense, concentrated even.

Deciding to take a breather Alberu goes to sit on his most comfortable couch. He hears a knock at the door.

"Please enter."

He's happy to see his aunt enter the room.

"Greetings Alberu... what happened to you look exhausted and I mean in the way more than usual."

"Tasha, I think I just met an unpredictable variable in my plans."

"What do you mean? Was it during the banquet?"

"Yes. I think I finally understand what you meant about those twins having such a powerful aura. but weirdly enough I can't help it be drawn to them, honestly just Young Master Kim specifically."

"Hmm. That's strange you don't usually become so interested in people you have to spend a bit of time with them to see whether or not they'll be useful to you."

"I'm not sure either. I felt something strange when we made eye contact. That feeling came back stronger when we shook hands. I'm not sure what it was, but a part of me feels as though it's been always connected to him, but only having met him now, has this feeling come to the surface. Like I was always meant to meet him, and something more, but I can't pinpoint the feeling or the need. But that feeling quickly faded after a short moment, yet I still feel connected to him somehow."

"Huh? I've never heard of something like this before. Honestly, it reminds me of the stories your mother used to read to you. About soulmates."

"Okay now you're just talking nonsense, soulmates don't exist. Those are just fairytales."

"I'm not sure. I know that a few races have things such as mates but they're not faded. They are found. There might be some races that do have soulmates. I heard vampires have them."

"And how do you know this?"

Tasha shrugged

"It's written in our old history books when the dark elves and the vampires were closer to each other. Unfortunately, vampires have to live closer to humans but more hidden in plain sight considering they need human blood for consumption."

"Still let us not come to conclusions just because I had the strange feeling doesn't mean I suddenly am soulmates with Young Master Kim."

"I suppose you're right, nephew."
