Hello everyone happy to bring you all an early chapter today as I was able to get ahead on my writing. Like I said previously I didn't make the first trails particularly difficult more feel-good than anything else, the more elaborate trails will probably be the next ones. Either way pretty happy with how this chapter turned out so please as always give me your feedback and opinions I always enjoy reading them. Enjoy the chapter (:
Cale opened his eyes. He found himself in the center of a village that somewhat reminded him of Rain City in the Henituse territory. Suddenly, he could hear his mother's voice echo and his mind.
"Fate is flexible, fate is difficult to read. However, some fates stand out from others. Find those who have larger fates within this village by reading their string of fate."
Although it wasn't much, it at least gave Cale something to look for, a direction to follow. Feeling his power, Cale concentrated on sensing the strings around him. He wasn't sure exactly what he was supposed to look out for. But his instincts told him that he would know when he found it.

Kim found himself in a very different space. He was in the forest of darkness, in an instant he knew exactly what he had to do. He had to find Choi Han and bring him to Harris Village. Although it left a bad taste in his mouth, knowing what would happen in the future, he was keenly aware that that future would never come in the illusion. Right now, his priority is to bring hope to Choi Han. He knew this would be both difficult and easy considering Choi Han's personality, and state at this time. He would most likely cling to him as he would be his first contact with a human in a long time.
Kim let out a breath, deciding not to think too deeply about it right away. After all, he had to find him first. Right now he had no idea the time period in which he was dropped here. This could mean Choi Han could be anywhere in the forest.
It was times like these that he wished the black dragon was here.
First things first, he had to determine where exactly he was in the forest of darkness to better situate where he'd have to go once he found Choi Han. He looked around him quickly, realizing he was in an area of the outer region of the forest not too far from the wall that separated the Harris Village from the forest of darkness. Happy with this outcome, he decided to check on his senses to grasp his capabilities within this trial better. It seemed as though none of his powers, ancient or divine were restricted. This was good considering he was in a monster-infested forest. But it was as if he was properly, sensing his powers, he could feel his divine powers leading him somewhere. Kim smiled and followed this feeling.
Kim had long since taken out his shield, as well as decided to let out as much divine power as he felt the need to. Hoping it would at least discourage most monsters from approaching him. He didn't expect it to be this effective. Most monsters couldn't get close to him before suffocating and dying, This made him quickly suppress some of the power not wanting to scare Choi Han as well on accident.

Cale quickly realized he truly was in Rain City as he walked through the streets guided by his senses. As he enters the slums his suspicions about the identities of the individuals start to rise already having guessed their identities. What is strange is that the individuals whom Cale suspected likely would have died had Kim not taken them in. Cale's senses became stronger and stronger the closer he approached, and he was finally starting to get a grasp on the nature of fate.
Fate doesn't decide or end simply by the death of the individual, fate branches out into several possibilities that are determined through the actions of the individual. There is a central string that goes on till the end of an individual causing the string to end or sever depending on the nature of the death being as sickness/starvation, sudden/unexpected, or old age but that string doesn't necessarily disappear. More often than not the string intertwines with another individual who becomes connected to that individual. When someone goes against/defies fate is when the string of some is connected to a different string/branch deviating from the path the central string used to follow. Most of the time one can only defy fate by diverting death through their own actions usually only through the help of others, so a strong string that was supposed to be cut connects with a new string before the cut is made.
