Chapter 14 (final chapter)

~Happiness at last~

Kazuha POV

The past few days have felt...weirdly enjoyable? I've never felt so at ease in my life after Tomo's death, maybe since i had gotten with Scaramouche after all the torture i had went through.

We are dating
fucking dating...

I turned up to school the next day, we had decided to keep it private for now and make subtle hints for shits and giggles, atleast until lunchtime today. I was slightly late to school so it was already time for form, and i made my way over to the classroom.

My face lit up as i saw Scaramouche sitting in his usual seat, and he looked up to me walking in and gave me a slight smile.

He smiled..

I walked over and sat in my seat next to him, then turned to look at him

"Hey" I said, a soft smile on my face

"Hello" He chuckled slightly 

"Keeping it a secret until lunch, correct?" I said, with a slight giggle, which soon stopped as Miss Jean, our form tutor started talking.

"Yeah" He responded as we pretty much spent the rest of the lesson zoned out.

We had finally made it to breaktime, we were going to mess around with the others a little and make them go slightly mental before lunchtime when we actually tell them.
Me, Heizou and Scaramouche all went walking out of history as we went downstairs and outside to our usual bench where we sat now for breaktimes.

I can't believe how easily i managed to fit into this friend group, I'm glad i had came back to public school after all.

"Hello everyone" Venti said in his normal, cheerful manner as he looks up to us three, thinking we were dumb enough to not notice his hand interlocked with Xiao's. They didn't even try to hide it out in public anymore.

"Hello" I responded, and so did Heizou and Scaramouche soon after as we all went to sit down on the bench

Everyone got deep into conversation, including me and Scaramouche until i felt a hand brush across mine, and i chuckled to myself. Looks like the game is starting now. 

I touched his hand subtly with my pinky as i continued listening in and occasionally talking in the conversation happening. Everyone was engrossed into the gossip about all the other students, apart from Xiao, who got the idea pretty much straight away, causing me to laugh a little, the indigo haired boy soon picked up on that and started laughing aswell.

Break had went by quickly, and so did the next two periods, and before we all knew it, it was lunch. I had to say, i was pretty damn nervous.

Me, Scaramouche and Heizou, all three of us being in the same class, all walked down to the lunch hall. I stayed back a little to get to Scaramouches side and grabbed his hand, chuckling slightly.

"Are we going to do it, then?" I murmured quietly so the maroon haired boy didn't hear us

"Yes, I think we are" Scara responded, giving my hand a slight squeeze

Heizou looked back at us and covered his mouth, his eyes wide but soon relaxed before speaking up.

"God...i owe Venti so much money right now.." He mumbled

"Wait- you put a bet on us" I said, chuckling slightly 

"Maybe" Heizou replied then smirked as we finally got into the lunch hall, we all went round our normal table.

Venti and Xiao realised and the bard let out a little shriek before Xiao quickly covered his mouth, making us all laugh. We all knew that he is a massive simp and softie in the inside, he just didn't like to show it.

Scaramouche finally spoke up so i didn't have to.

"So urm, this happened" He said then chuckled, as i joined him

Before we could talk any further about it, i let out a fat scream as someone tried scaring us from behind, i turned around to see Scara's brother, Childe.

"Scaramouche what the hell why didn't you tell me" The ginger whined and put on a fake pout before speaking up again "But seriously, congrats. You were obsessed"

"What Childe!" The indigo haired boy blurted out, clearly a little pissed off that he exposed him, but i only chuckled in response.

"Right i'm heading off now" Childe said quickly before giggling and walking off like a little boy that just got money from the tooth fairy

"Is he really 16?" Scaramouche mumbled, making us all burst out in laughter 

"Anyways, so me and Scara are a thing now" I said quietly, although it had already pretty much been confirmed

I couldn't help but feel a slight relief after all of this has happened. I feel as if the guilt of Tomo and all of that was finally...starting to wear off. The thoughts still ran through my brain frequently like 'what would've happened if i was too late again' and all of that but no.. it didn't. I felt as if i could finally move on with my life. 

Although Tomo may always feel like my first love...I never had the guts to say until it was too late

Now i had Scaramouche, healing up all my scars, and an amazing friend group, even though i had narrowly escaped death from being kidnapped, life finally felt tranquil for me.

I wouldn't have admitted it a few weeks ago, but i was in a really rough condition, as if there wasn't much point living anymore. But here i am, feeling as if there's finally a reason, which isn't to never forget Tomo. 

I hope he's proud of me..

Before i knew it there was a slightly heated arguement between Heizou and Scaramouche about video game characters and whos the best...really? I glanced into Scaramouches purple stern but stunning eyes and slung my shoulder around him and pulled him close to me, knowing damn well he was in an argument, i chuckled slightly and spoke up jokingly..

"I really hate loving you at times.."

Sorry for the radio silence i forgot about this book and i really wanted to finish it so i could work on a new one IM SO EXCITED TO START WOOOO

i hope this book was somewhat enjoyable and that your happy with the ending as i had almost no motivation
Sorry if it was a bit trashy its my first book after all, plus this chapter was pretty short
