I barged into the door of Lacuna INC. "Good morning. Lacuna." The woman said. I completely ignored her and hustled to the back area, she got up and chased after me, pushing herself in front of me. I kept walking, I didn't care if she was a road block in my way.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait!" She urged as I nearly kept running her over with my speedy walking. I saw the doctor from the corner in my eye and swung the corner to see him, she pushed in front of me, "I'm sorry, Doctor. She just barged right in here!"

"Okay. I want it done." I said to the doctor as another woman watched. "I told her pre-Valentine's Day is our busy time." She shook her head annoyed, but the doctor seemed.. fine?

"Oh, th-th-thats.. that's okay, Mary." He stammered, to which the nurse nearly choked, "But there are people waiting." The doctor looked over at me and motioned his hand to me, "If you'd like to, uh, come inside." I walked into the room and sat back down on the same seat from my last visit.

"And, Mary, if you could take care of Mrs. Woo. Good-bye, Mrs. Woo." He referenced to the woman next to him. "Yes, of course."

The doctor shut the door behind him as he walked in the room and sat down on his same seat. "Now, the, uh.. The first thing we need you to do, Ms. L/N, is to go home, and collect everything you own that has some association with Alex. Anything. And we'll use these items to create a map of Alex in your brain. Okay? So we'll need uh, photos, clothing, gifts.. books he may have bought you, CDs you may have bought together, journal entries. We want to empty your home. We want to empty your life of Alex. After the mapping is done, our technicians will do the erasing in your home tonight."

He continued, "That way, when you wake in the morning, you'll find yourself in your own bed as if nothing had happened. A new life awaiting you."

The next day I came into the office with a trash bag full of items that even slightly had association to Alex. As I entered, I heard the office woman speak and I noticed an older woman with a box full of dog treats and puppy items, that made me unbelievably sad.

As I sat down the receptionist woman greeted me kindly, "How are you today, Ms. L/N?" I nod at her and glance around the room as I'm crammed between two people. I gazed at the man beside me and noticed he had what seemed like a tote bag full of items, one seemed to look like a trophy.

The doctor called out my last name as he walked out from the back area, rather than the receptionist calling me out like last time. I got up and followed him as I began to second guess what I was about to do.

"February is very busy for us because of Valentine's Day." He says before knocking on a door, opening it after a moment. The room is dark with a TV playing a combo of clips on the big screen.

"This is Stan Fink," The doctor began as he started to introduce me to the man in the room. "One of our most experienced and skilled technicians. He'll be handling your case tonight." I look around the room and saw a woman sitting in a chair with a gadget covering her head, she was laughing at what was being displayed on the TV. "Great to meet you, Ms. L/N." Stan said.

"My name is Y/N L/N and I'm here to erase Alex Maldonado." I said to the man in front of me as he began to write and scribble things down. "Now tell me about Alex." I took a heavy breath in and began to rack my brain.

"Uhm, I was living with this man, Clay, a couple years ago, and my friends Rob and Carrie invited us to this party on the beach.. I don't like parties. Clay couldn't go, but I went, and I met Alex." I said.
