(Same day as last chapter, continued)

I sat in my room after I ate with my mom. Memories of Sam and I ran through my head.

And then someone knocked on my door.

"Come in." I insisted
"Uh, someone's here for you." My mom says.

"Who?"
"Matthew Espinosa?"

"Matts here!" I shout and run past my mom.

I run downstairs and see Matt in the doorway.

"Matt!" I shout
"Lex!" He says.

Matt and I have been talking for a while he was literally my best friend. He's been helping me get through everything and has helped me stay positive, so I don't try and hurt myself.

"W-what are you doing here?" I say
"I got a flight to come and visit you, I missed my best friend!" He whines playfully.

I laugh and hug him tightly, "thanks Matt."

"No probs." he says.

"So um who's Matt?" My mom says smirking.

"Oh! Mom, this is Matt, well obviously. Um, we went on tour together, now he's my best friend." I laugh.

"Well, it's nice meeting you Matt. Alexis, I'm going to take a nap. Love you." My mom says kissing my forehead.

"Love you too." I smile.

"So what do you want to do?" He says.

"Hmm, let's go shopping!"

"Really." He says looking at me sideways.

"What?!" I laugh.

"I'm a dude." He says crossing his arms.

"Yessss, and you're also my best friend so you have to come with me."

"Okay..." He says playfully.
I smile widely and take his hand running him upstairs.

I grab my wallet and my phone and we head out to my moms car.

We're halfway to the mall and The Hills by the weeknd came on.

"Omg! I love this song!" I say.

I start singing to it and Matt starts to record me for snapchat, I didn't notice until the last second of the video and I started laughing so hard.

"Matt!"

"Hey , you hit those notes though!" He laughs.

"So, what's for dinner Mr & Mrs.Caniff?" Matt asks.

"Lasagna!" They both say. I laugh and the front door opens, it's Taylor.

"Matt! Hey dude." Taylor says bringing him in for side hug.

I hear the doorbell ring, more people? I think to myself. I get up and go to the door.

I open it and nobody's there. I look around and see a note on the placemat.

I raise my eyebrow and pick it up and read it.

" Alexis,
Meet me, July 4th. Upland park, you know where. 6:30pm. Please be there I have a surprise.
Sammy."

My heart sinks and I inhale a large breath of air. I close the door and walk back to the bar stools. I show Taylor and Matt the note.

"So you gonna go?" Matt asks.
