After school"Mummyyy, bhukh lagi hai khana dedoo" I called my mother after I got freshen up and changed my clothes.
("Mother, I am hungry. Please give me some food.")
"Abhi ruk ja choti aur papa ko aane de fir saath milkar khayenge sab" mum replied back.
("Just wait till your sister and father arrive, then we'll eat together.")
"Humesha mujhe he rukna padta hai. Aap unn dono ko kyun nahi kehte jaldi aane k liye?" I said throwing tantrums. Then, I went towards the living room where mum was watching her favorite TV serial. "Oh! Madam, will they come home as per their schedule or as per your wish?" She said and asked me to shush.
("Everyday, I have to wait for them. Why don't you ask them to come home sooner?")
"Acha! serial dekh rahe ho..sidha sidha boldo na ki ek bhukh se maari bachhi ko khana khilane se zyada important apko apka serial hai-" "Baap re, TV serials k actors se zyada drame toh tu krti hai." my mum interrupted me and went to bring the dishes to the dining table.
("Oh you're watching a TV serial...you could have told me directly that, your TV serial is more important than feeding a hungry kid-"
"My god, you do more drama than the TV serial actors themselves.")
"Hehe, apki he beti hu." I uttered. "Kuch kaha tuney?" Mum asked glaring at me, which I replied in negative.
("Hehe, I'm your daughter only." I uttered. "Did you say something?")
She served the food for me and herself and asked me to sit beside her chair and fed me the food. Yes, till this day when I'm already in 12th grade, my mum feeds me the food by her hands. You know it's our thing that I would at least eat 1 meal of the day from her hands.
We ate while watching the serial and moments later I was so frustrated with how the saas was taunting her bahu for making square shaped parathas when she wanted to eat the triangle ones, "Mummy, yeh saas kitni chant hai. Meri saas aisi hui toh mera kya hoga??" I asked dramatically.
Mum replied me with, "Han toh fir nahi karwayenge teri shaadi." I thought about it for a while and shook my head quickly, "Nahi nahi, shaadi karwana par sirf mere Aksh-" I stopped and realized what I was just about to expose.
("Ok then, we will not get you married then."
"No no, get me married but only to my Aksh-")
"Kya kya kya? Mera?" She asked suspiciously. "Nothing nothing, I was talking about some fictional characters." I chuckled nervously and she didn't interrogated further.
("What what what? My?")
"Aapke pharmaceuticals ka renovation kahan tak pohoncha?" I started a small conversation with her again, talking about nothing and everything.
