"Gudiya rani, uth jaa 5 baj gaye hain." I hummed on hearing papa's voice. "Bas 2 minutes papa, please." I shuffled on the bed, covering myself more with the blanket.
(Princess, wake up, it's 5 am already.)
"Pichle 10 minute se 2 minute 2 minute kar rahi hai, beta uth jaa abb please." He said caressing my head. "Itne pyaar se uthaoge toh kaise chalega papa. Lo uth gayi main." I said sitting on the bed.
(You've been saying 2 minutes since the last 10 minutes, get up now please.
How will I not wake up if you are waking me up sweetly? Here, I woke up)
"Very good! Now go get freshen up while I wake up my other princess." He said going to Ayushi's room. I quickly freshened up and had a small study session. Not before doing some puja (worship) and giving bhog (offerings) to the deities. After the study session I packed my bag, had breakfast with my cute family and headed to school.
At school
"Students, pay attention in class or you will be in big trouble!" Ritu ma'am aka the daNgEroUs, bhery dangerous woman of the school shouted.
[Ritu ma'am or Mrs. Ritu Trivedi, a lady in her early 30s who loves to make her students suffer. She is their Political science teacher and also the Vice Principal of the school. (pros of having good relations with the school association) Saying that 'she didn't like Aarohi' would be an understatement. Reason being...well, you will find out soon.]
"Isko toh chillane ka mauka chahiye bas." Yukti whispered to which I laughed quietly, which didn't go unnoticed by her. "Aarohi! What's the joke? Please tell us so we all can laugh. Isn't it class?" She taunted me and made me stand for the whole period.
(She just needs an excuse to shout.)
Sometimes I think that in my previous life I was her chef and maybe I poisoned her food or something. That's why she is taking revenge on me in this life.
'Hey Radha Rani, apni bachhi ko aise punishment milta dekh, aapko bura nahi lagta?' I thought complaining, sitting on my seat when the bells went off. But maybe something was still left because Ritu ma'am asked me to meet her in the staff room.
(Oh Radha Rani, don't you feel bad when you watch your kid get punished?)
I followed her ditching my precious recess time. The way my stomach was grumpling slowly while greeting the teachers whom I walked passed in the hallway.
"Recess ke waqt kya kaam sujhta hai inhe. Matlab bachha abb recess mein shanti se khaye bhi na." I grumbled softly while I reached the staff room and entered after hearing a slow 'come inside'.
(She always remembers her work during recess, the kid can't even eat in peace.)
"Aarohi, as you know we are going to have a Holi event this 25th, I want you to take the role of Head Manager." Ritu ma'am ordered clearly. "Ma'am me? I mean there are people who can handle this duty better than me, ma'am." I said as I was trying to escape from this tedious work because I have experienced it on the 'Food Fest 2k23'.
