I lay all my cards out on the table
You turn each one over
Carefully, as though you care. You'd like to play cards,
But you never finish a game.
I don't think you care about winning. You are the first
Of the men I have been warned of.You are the first
I have chosen to play with
Since i resigned and placed my cards back in the deck
I used to show my cards so freely
Now I'm wary
I realise it's a gamble
And I realise I am brave to keep playing
That is the real win
