"Hello! Mr. Miller" I was the one to break the silence.

"Hello! Miss. Taylor" he replied.

I really don't know what to say now,  Again, he was looking into my eyes this time I looked away.

"What a coincidence," I remarked, glancing around before meeting his eyes again.

"Yeah," he agreed simply.

Now, I was running out of words, I don't know what to say next.

Struggling to find words, I tried to keep the conversation going. "You don't seem like the clubbing type of person." I commented, forcing a small smile.

"Neither do you" he said mockingly.

"Yes?" I asked. He thought I didn't hear him as I was looking around, but I heard him.

"Yes, I'm not. I'm here for an important birthday," he explained.

"Oh," I responded, falling into an uncomfortable silence once more.

"Hot" he said.

"What?" I asked, surprised. Was he complimenting me?

"I mean, are you feeling hot?" he clarified.

"No, why?" I furrowed my brows.

"Why! because it's the end of November and.." he trailed off, scanning me from head to toe.

"...and?" I prompted, raising an eyebrow.

"And the way you're dressed suggests otherwise....it seems like you do" he finished, locking eyes with me again.

"Oh, this...yeah, we girls often prioritize fashion over weather when it comes to parties," I laughed nervously.

Yes, that's true, neither Ava nor I once had considered bringing a coat with us. We girls would rather freeze to death than wearing a coat for an occasion.

"I really don't care what you wear, but I don't want you to be sick on the very first day of your job and ask me for a leave" he said with a straight face.

"I won't, and if I do, I won't request for a leave," I replied, matching his tone.

He held my gaze again, this man and his obsession with eye contact, oh God! I can't maintain it at all.

"I thought you wouldn't recognize me," I tried to change the subject.

"No, Miss Taylor, if I meet or see someone, I remember them for life," he said, stepping closer, hands still in his pockets. I looked at him with wide eyes, remembering our first encounter. Now I just wanted to disappear.

"Oh!" before I could think of anything else to say...

*Ring! Ring! Ring! *

His phone ringed and he answered the call, now this was my chance. Taking advantage of the distraction, I escaped from there before he could end the call. I entered in the club again and found Eva and James sitting on the chair near the bar giggling and blushing, I made my way to them.

"There you are! I've been searching everywhere for you," I teased Ava, her cheeks were already pink which turned red after my tease. I knew why they were pink, me and my dirty mind.

"We.... we were right here; James was showing me around" she explained, suppressing her huge smile.

"Okay! Okay! I got it, should we head out? It's getting late," I suggested wearily.

"Sure," they agreed in unison.

James dropped me off at my building, and they departed together.

I came to my room completely tired collapsing onto my bed. Firstly, the apartment hunting which was tiring enough and after that club I was completely exhausted. It was Sunday tomorrow, which was a big relief, I sighed and gathered some energy to change my outfit and to wear something comfortable, I changed and directly landed on my bed, processing everything which happened today.

"What s troublesome day," I sighed.
