"You swore that you loved me but where were the clues?
I died on the altar,
waiting for the proof."It's been days since then. She had quietly started her treatment . She timely takes her injection twice a day. At first it was tough for her. Her hands used to shake everytime she got the niddle closer to her skin. The injection used to drop down from her hand every now and then. The side effects of it were overwhelming for her as well.. But now she was quite used to of it. She can now push the injection directly on her skin without flinching. Her finger doesn't tremble that much anymore. She has got used to off managing her nausea and dizziness that comes with it. But the only thing she hasn't got used to off was doing all these all alone.
She had needed jungkook by her side the most, more than anything right now. But despite of being under the same room, it still felt like he wasn't beside her anymore. As if he had already drifted too far from her.Too far that he can't even see that she's drowning and screaming for help.
She was sitting on the edge of the bed in the dimmly lit room while reading the notes to prepare for her tomorrow's lecture. Leaning her head against the headboard she shifted her gaze to the wall clock to check the time while pushing her glasses up from her nose bridge as she waited for jungkook to arrive. She turned to the next page when the door of the bedroom creaked open as an exhausted jungkook came in view. Seeing him she pushed her book close and took her glass off. Keeping her glasses down on the bed side table beside her notes she asked.
Y/n : Did you eat?
Jungkook begain to take his coat off and replied.
Jungkook : Yes.
Y/n nodded her head weakly and said
Y/n : Freshen up then. Today is 23rd.
She reminded him, making him sigh before she got up from the bed and left the room. Walking down the stairs she entered the kitchen and turned the lights on. Her eyes stared at the plates she had kept on the kitchen counter along with the dinner she had prepared. Unconciously she found herself staring at the two plates for longer than she should have before she begain to pick them up and keep them neatly on the rack. She then stored the food in tupperware boxes and kept them in the refrigerator in silence.
Turning the lights off she headed back in their bedroom. She could hear the shower running in the washroom indicating that he was still in there. Sighing she quietly walked towards the bed and sat down. Opening the bed side drawer she took out the box that has her medicines and injection. She carefully poured the medicine in the syringe according to the instructions before keeping it on the table. She then lifted her dress up to reveal her stomach and taking a deep breath she pushed the injection in. Her eyes scrunched up making her hiss in tiny due to the stinging pain but she was used to of jt. Grasping she pulled the niddle out. Her palm immediately messaged that place to ease herself before she pulled her dress down and stood up. As an after effect her head felt light making her hold onto the table. But she was used to of it now. So she stayed there holding onto the table for a second or so letting her heart calm down before she walked towards the dustbin and threw the used niddle there.
At that moment the door of the washroom opened and he came out. Jungkook's eyes met her's briefly for a second before he averted her gaze and walked towards the dresser instead while wiping his hair. She too looked away from him and walked back to the bed pretending to seem unfazed.Sitting down on her side she waited for jungkook to be done with his routine. It was 23rd today. She was ovaluating. And thus they should try for baby tonight. Jungkook was aware of this as it has been there routined schedule from ever since they had started these treatments to conceive the child. So he didn't need any special reminder. He knew what he had to do.
