"Friends break up, friends get married.
Strangers get born,
strangers get buried.
Trends change, rumors fly through new skies.
But I'm right where you left me"Sounds of birds chirping snapped y/n out from her thoughts. It took her few seconds to realise that it was dawn now. And she wasn't in the present timeline, in her bedroom with jungkook anymore Rather she was now in Boston. Years back, in 2010 now. Her nervous gaze shifted to the mirror her gaze haulted Yes, she wasn't the same anymore. She had changed. She looked now just like how she used be years ago. Her hands that were still shaking grabbed the hem of her dress and begin to lift it up hesitantly to reveal her thighs and abdomen. Indeed it was fresh now. There wasn't any mark on her skin there from needles in this timeline anymore as she hadn't reached that stage yet. It was a stark reminder and prove of her coming in the past. Unconciously she found herself blankly staring at her unscarred skin when she heard the door knob twisting which made her drop the hem of her dress immediately.
After calming down, jungkook had decided to head back to their bedroom as he couldn't risk to create suspicion by not being in the same room as his supposed to be fiance. He had thought that she'll be sleeping by now considering how he had given her medicine before the argument had happened wait- The argument... Can it be called an argument? Why did they even fought? Why did he even loose his demeanour Infront of her for no reason. She was no one right? Then why couldn't he keep his cool Infront of her like he does for everyone else? He sighed as he didn't had any logical answer to the question. Or perhaps he did had the answers but wasn't willing to accept it. As the answers which he had were only illogical ones and too some extent Cause in the eyes of Boston's people she was his fiance. But in reality she was just his responsibility and someone else's wife.
He opened the door cautiously hoping that she might be sleeping and he wouldn't need to face her but he haulted on his steps after seeing her sitting on the same place on the bed, right where he had left her . Her eyes looked almost alarmed as if she was caught in some kind of act. He found himself opening his mouth a few times to speak but he couldn't utter a single word. A part of him had almost-almost thought that maybe she's gonna ask where he had been the whole night. But she didn't utter a single word and was just kept staring back at him.
Y/n indeed had wanted to ask him where he had been. She wanted to tell that she was worried. That she was sorry. She wanted to apologise for being a burden on him and for every other mistakes she had done previously in the current timeline but she knew that it wouldn't make any sense to him and neither she had the right to ask. As in this timeline it wasn't her place anymore. In this timeline she was none to him. No one.... So she remained quite.
Noticing her silence, the prideful side of jungkook felt offended for unexplainable reasons and immediately averted his gaze to not make it seem like he was loosing his demeanour and dashed into the washroom.
Y/n's eyes followed him, entering into the washroom before she lowered her gaze and sighed feeling helpless and confused at the situation they were in. She was frustrated at getting tangled at him when her only purpose was to avoid him, so that they never end up together. But here she was now acting as his fiancée. She was lost in her thoughts when she heard a knock the door. She instantly sat up straight when a middle aged lady peeked through the door with a hesitant smile
Lady : Am I disturbing?
Y/n didn't knew who she was but she managed to flash a tight smile and shook her head hastily.
Y/n :Uh-no... please come in.
The lady smiled as she entered the room and sat on the edge of the bed beside y/n. She gazed at y/n warmly as she spoke
