Sugar & Spice: remake

Well... This is a bit of a surprise right?😅

Hi everyone! There's like a lot I can probably go over with you all. So we're going to do this step by step😊

First of all: As you can probably tell, the vote poll on my Tumblr has come to an end and a cover was chosen. I'll admit, I was honestly not expecting the second option to win that for some strange reason, but it did and it's great!😁

And secondly, no you're not reading the title wrong, this is a legitimate remake/rewrite of an old story I did. The very first one I did was on Wattpad. And that's Sugar & Spice. Now, I think it's only fair for us to have a story recap on what led it to be a thing to begin with.

Now, for those who don't know or are new, Sugar & Spice is the first fanfic that I've ever made back in 2018. It was all based on ASMR YouTuber: YuuriVoice and the character Alphonse. Why? Well, it was mainly because of my autistic ass mind and the strange fixation on the actual character that lead it to exist in the first place😅

At the time, I practically fell in love with the character. I have never seen or heard anything like it. So much so that I tried to find content that was outside of YouTube, and I didn't find any. I mean, there was stuff that was there, but it wasn't a lot. Which at the time surprised me but looking back on it now, I can understand why. Not in a bad way of course😅

(First of which is that it was asmr. It is one of many things that people find hard to work with. It's almost like trying to write a story based on the lyrics of a song. At least to me, I honestly don't know the reason why. There could be multiple answers😅
Secondly, these characters are in ownership of a person. Even though it's been with anime, this one was very different for a lot of reasons. Anyways back to the story!)

Now, with me being the autistic person I was, I eventually did the one thing that I never thought I would do: write a fanfic. At the time I was honestly worried by the possibility that it would probably not turn out so great or good enough for readers' standards. And that it was also based on another's content. However, I pushed through and tried my very best while also adding in original chapters in the hopes of avoiding trouble that I never meant to cause.
And yet, despite me being new to the whole thing, people still read what I put together.

The story itself became 73 parts long: including the non-chapters and the continuation ones. Until the story finally came to an end on the 7th of March, 2022. Originally there was supposed to be a sequel, but because I just jumped right into it without asking for permission, I may have slightly panicked😥 And since I wanted to respect the owner of the characters, I've decided to stop and step back from it all. Thus; the end for all things Sugar & Spice related.

However, in the current day, my Tumblr page is filled with the YuuriVoice boys'. And for some reason, as I looked at those posts, it relights something in me that I couldn't even be able to explain in words. Which has now led to here. Hell, I even reached out to Yuuri in regards to the story's remake. I'll admit that I was very nervous about what his response would be, but yet, he gave me the green light. This means that this story is officially coming back!😄

Anyway, that's all I wanted to say. I don't know when I'll publish the first chapter but I promise you that it will happen, for real this time! Of course, there will be some things that will be different from the original, but the main story side will remain the same. Will people still love it even after all this time? Honestly, I don't know. But it doesn't hurt to look and find out, right?😁😊
