Setting: Destiny's Bounty. Two or three hours before dinner time. Jay nor Cole haven't taken a liking to Nya. The ninja each have separate rooms.

~No Ones POV~

Jay was wondering about the Bounty, bored out of his mind. Well, he wasn't completely bored. Cole has been invading Jay's thoughts lately; the way he often flips his shaggy black hair, how his tan skin complements his dull green eyes, and the way he talks. Jay just can't get enough of it.

The sizzling of food cooking on a pan caught Jay's attention as he passed by the kitchen. He peaked inside, secretly hoping it was Cole trying to cook, but to his dismay, it was only Zane.

"I can sense you're there," the blonde turned toward Jay, "it would be nice if you could help me. I can tell you're aimlessly wandering around."

"Sure, why not?" Jay replied, for he had nothing better to do than to think about Cole more.

"Ok. Can you hand me the pepper?" Zane asked, as he flipped over the salmon he was cooking for dinner.

Jay reached, and grabbed hold of the small black pepper shaker. He handed it to Zane, earning a small 'thank you'.

Jay just had a lightbulb moment. He thought Cole would love it if he made a cake for him.

"U-uh, Zane?" Jay looked at the ground, embarrassed, "Can you help me make a cake?"

Zane turned toward Jay, and smiled, "Of course, brother. I'll help you once I'm done making dinner."

"Ok, thank you!" Jay hummed, then left the kitchen.

He skipped outside, ending up on the main deck. Cole was there, training. Jay didn't expect that. The Earth Ninja looked deep in concentration, but Jay didn't seem to care at the moment.

"Hey, Cole!" Jay called, trying to make his voice travel over the sound of metal scraping against metal.

"Oh, hey, Freckle-Face. How are you? Wanna train with me? It's better with two." Cole walks over to Jay, wiping sweat off his face in the process, not appearing to be bothered by having his training session interrupted.

"F-Freckle-Face?! I do not have that many freckles!" Jay protests, trying to hide a blush.

Cole laughs, and puts his arm around Jay's shoulder, "Yeah, sure you don't!"

Jay couldn't fight the pink racing across his cheeks this time. It was just a brotherly gesture, it was just a brotherly gesture, Jay tries to reassure himself.

"JAY! I CAN HELP YOU NOW!" Zane yells out from the kitchen.

Wow, Zane sure can be loud! Argh, but now I have to leave Cole. Jay wasn't happy at that, but he was excited to see Cole's reaction when he sees the cake Jay will make for him. Jay walked back inside, being greeted with the smell of sugar.

Zane had all the ingredients out and ready for use. He waved to Jay, welcoming him.

"Alright. So I'm going to tell you how to do each step and you're going to do it."

"Ok."

"First, you break the eggs into the measuring cup, then stir them up." Zane slid the glass measuring cup and two eggs over to Jay.

The Lightning Ninja held one egg and hit it against the rim of the cup not too hard, but hard enough to leave a decent crack. Jay put his thumbs through the crack, and pried the egg open, allowing the whites and yolk to fall into the cup. He did the same with the second egg. Next, Jay took whatever was lying around; a fork, and stirred the eggs, unleashing a horrible clanging sound. Once the eggs were good(by Zane's judgement), Jay poured them into a large metal bowl.
