August 7, 109 Ekherreius years.

Taku province, Zalgrerent.

Operation Tidal Lance, First US invasion of Zalgrerent empire (1944 era)

After 2 months long discussion, between the President, Army, Marine, Navy, and Air Force, with a disagreement from many people, due to them thinking that sending a part of their military over to this world is not worth it and just a waste of resources.

2 months ago, they just landed at Normandy, The entire country of France is waiting for the its freedom that had been taken away by Nazi Germany in 1941.

Despite this, the US couldn't just be sitting around and do nothing to Ekherreius and let them get away after the attack that happened 2 months ago.

Besides that, Germany, and their allies, Japan, have already sent some of their military into the world of Ekherreius.

If they do nothing, Ekherreius might falling into the wrong hands, and to prevent this, the US has no choice but to send the military there.

This portal was located near Saipan Island in the Pacific Ocean, the US is currently in control of this island after capturing it from Japan during the Battle of Saipan in June - July 1944.

The sky is covered by an overcast cloud with the ocean and multiple small islands. In the distance, the ship is anchored in the open sea from the fear of being in something way that they won't dare to interrupt or get in the way.

The air is clear, even if not clear skies, it was good enough just for now.

Not far from it was the big white portal with the outline of purple and releasing some kind of electric sound but it was completely safe to pass through--It was one of the few portals connecting Ekherreius and Earth together that still remained open and wasn't close in the time of 2 months after the first invasion.

The portal was gigantic, so big in fact that the largest container ship like the MSC Irina could pass through it with no problem. The portal is 100 meters wide and 80 meters high from the sea level as the portals that open on the sea are meant to be big enough for navy vessels from Zalgrerent to sail through.

The portals on the ground are usually just 50-60 meters wide and 40-50 meters high.

The skies are filled with the sound of the engine noise, one of them is the Pratt & Whitney R-2800-10W Radial 18-cylinder engine.

That sound was from the Grumman F6F-5 "Hellcat" Carrier-based fighter aircraft. It just took off from the aircraft carrier with three 500 Ib AN-M64A1 bombs under the fuselage as their main ordnance.
