Luna's memory:
"Wait I've never seen this photo of grandma ever before" I say to mom as she was cooking and I sat down in the kitchen island as I was looking through old photos. She comes over to me and smile at the picture. "yeah, she was beautiful." She says
grandma died when I was a kid but I had plenty of memorise with her since she would come to us basically everyday."you know what, Luna" my mom says as she goes back to her cooking. "Yeah?" I reply and look up at her. "when I die, please have my funeral one month later just like my grandma and my mother. I want to go on with their legacy" she says and i get shocked. "mom stop, im not gonna think about your funeral. you are literally going to live your life with me" I say and shake of the thought my mom not being around with me. I can't imagine that and won't.
End.
___Black knee long dress. Black shoes. That was my clothes for my mom's funeral. Nothing more. I was looking at the mirror and just saw how my hair destroyed everything. I was supposed to have dark clothes but my hair lightened up my clothes. I got my blond hair from my dad, or that's what my mom used to tell me. I always wanted to dye it brown just like my mom and Elías but she never let me do that
"Don't think of your dad when you see your hair. Just have it as a reminder of how strong you are because of him. And you look beautiful with it. Never dye it, Luna" she used to tell me.The funeral would take place in Barcelona since no one complained about it and most of the people I wouldn't even know. Just some of my cousins from my mom's side and their parents. Jules and Maya would come with me and the same applied to Elías friends. They wanted me to give a speech as well as Elías also decided to give one. I was afraid to do it first. But this was kind of my last time speaking to my mom and about my mom. After this, I would never want to speak about her to anyone else.

"You know her name, you know how she looked like and I guarantee that you have seen her beautiful smile." Elías says and puts a smile on everyone here sitting, including me.
"i can also guarantee you that you didn't know her as a mother. Caring, loving, giving everything needing and most of all strong mother did I have. She sacrificed more than I'll ever know and I feel honoured and privileged to be called her son. Not everyone has gone through what she has and she is my inspiration to be as strong as her in my life.
Thank you for listening and coming here" he says and nods as he walks down and sits next to me. Luckily I just put on waterproof mascara today and nothing more because Elías speech was warming and touching."you promised no tears" he says and looks forward. "I didn't know you would become a poem" I say and wipe away my tears. Elías smile.

"and now I leave the word to her only daughter. Miss Ortega" I hear them say and stand up. The silence grew bigger as everyone looked at me and my shoes gave off the klick-klack sound.
"Today all of you are probably here to honour either your close friend, cousin, sister or just a relative. But I'm here because of my mom." I say and give off a small pause without looking up because I wouldn't handle people crying and not crying myself.
