Chapter sixteen

I was sitting at the conference room alongside Anna waiting for Ortega. Anna said that we needed to meet up for some reason.

"Oh, come in, Luna" Anna says as soon as she knocks on the door and opens it. What's the meaning behind knocking if you open it yourself?

"so I wanted to talk to you about our contract. Gavi, where were you yesterday when we had planned a dinner?" She directly asks me. "Wait, jump back one night. She didn't come to the party. Then I don't need to go to some stupid dinner" I say quickly and I can see how she rolls her eyes. "Luna?" Anna then turns her attention to her. "I couldn't come, something came up" she says and I let out a small laugh. "what exactly then?" I ask her. She looks at me with those blue eyes but don't say anything. "Both of you, if we have started to do this, we need to end it. Since you guys don't do what I say, I will be even stricter now. You need to have 2 dinner's together every week and I will send you questions you two need to ask each other to at least talk and also, post each other at least once on your social media." Anna says. I might have to be careful with her, she can get angry as well. "This was not in our contract" Ortega says as she stands up from her chair. "it is now since none of you could follow the rules" Anna responds. "I'll send you both more information. That's it" Anna ends everything. And Ortega goes out real quickly.

I follow her outside since my car was parked there as well. Because that's the only thing you men are capable of. I started to think of that phrase that she said to me only now. I don't know what she meant by it. hundred percentage just some random boy that has broken her heart and she's not over it yet.

Luna's memory, 3rd person view

"mom, when am I going to meet dad?"  Little Luna asks as she is sitting and drawing. Luna's mom looks up very surprised and doesn't know what to say. "Where did that come from, dear?" Luna's mom asks. "well, today at the end of school, Maya and Jules were picked up by their dads. I also want to be picked up by my dad" Luna tries to explain to her mom who gets a bit emotional.

She sits down next to Luna and perhaps it's too early for Luna to know but her mom couldn't continue to lie. It would grow into a big false secret and in the end Luna would get more devastated about it than now.
"The world will never be fair, Luni. And it happens to not be so fair with you. Your dad left us just some days after you were born. I know you want your dad and you completely deserve one. But sometimes you don't get what you want in life even if you were supposed to have a dad." She explains to Luna as she listens carefully. Luna's smile disappears as quickly as you can blink. "hey don't be sad, me and Elías is with you and will always be. Aren't we enough?" Luna's mom says as she smiles and hugs her daughter. "You will never leave me like dad, right?" Luna asks and her mom gets tears in her eyes. "Never, luni" her mom replies with the nickname she used for Luna.

"hey mom" I quietly say as I sit next to her grave and lay down her favourite flowers. This is my first time coming her and talking to her. Hopefully she is hearing me from somewhere.
"sorry for not coming earlier. To be honest I didn't know what I would say if I would come to visit you. But now I know. I will just say the most normal things I have always said to you because so much things have happened since you left me, since you left us." I say and smile. "I have decided to continue with designer studies and I chose fashion as my orientation. I love it so far. One day, I will create a clothing collection and name it after you." I tell her and go on with things that has happened to me.

I think I sit there for approximately 2 hours with just talking to her about things that have happened and what has been going on in my mind lately. It was helpful.
"ohhh, I've talked so much now." I say and stand up. "I'll come back one day" I say and look down at my mom's grave. "Don't worry for me. As you have always said the world isn't fair all the time. And I have it in my mind every time something happens. Bye mom" I say and walk off from her grave and back to Elías car.

When I came back home Elias was taking out some things from the fridge. "hellooo...?" I go to the kitchen and look confused. "oh hi Luna" Elías replies and continues to do whatever he was doing. "What are you doing?" I ask and sit down at the kitchen island. "So Emilia found out that I got sick and now she insists on coming over and checking on me. so i said she can come and have dinner with us, are you free?" He asked me and I got very excited. "hell yeah, I wanna meet her soooo badly" I tell him and he laughs.

Elías opened the door for her and I was standing some metres away. They gave each other a kiss on the cheek as Emilia hugged him and greeted him. Then she saw me. "omg, Luna, right?" She asked and I nodded with a smile on my face. "finally got to meet you" I say and laugh as we kindly hug each other as well. She was really pretty. She had brown hair just like Elías had with beautiful green eyes. Elías was pretty tall and so was she actually. "let's go inside" Elías says and she takes off her shoes as go inside.

We ate dinner and talked a lot together. I got to know her while I also told her a little about myself. She knew mostly everything since Elías had already told her about me. She was just as nice as I imagined her to be. "As much as I would want to stay longer I kind of need to wake up early tomorrow. And knowing myself, I will turn off the alarm if I don't get sleep" she says and gets up from the table and I laugh.

"well, now we definitely have to meet up more" I say Emilia before she leaves. "absolutely. good night, Luna" she says as we hug each other. "And you too, Ace" she says as she gets in her knees and hugs him quickly. Elías would follow her out so I closed the door and quickly put the disk in the dishwasher.

As I head back to my room with Ace following with me I take up my phone and see the detailed information Anna had sent me.

Mondays and Fridays at 6pm until at least 7pm.

I hate this. I hate myself for not just ignoring all of this and continuing with my calm life without any contract or anything. I just put my phone near my bed and go to sleep.
