Sunjae stood nervously outside the apartment building, his hands stuffed deep into his pockets as he glanced up at the windows, hoping to catch a glimpse of her. But as the minutes ticked by, there was no sign of her. Frowning, he began to wonder if something was wrong.

Deciding to check on her, Sunjae made his way to her apartment door. Just as he reached it, he heard raised voices from inside. Placing his ear on the door,  he heard Sol's mother scolding her daughter for being late, her words sharp and harsh. Sol emerged from the apartment, her eyes downcast as she hastily slung her backpack over her shoulder. Startled by Sunjae's presence, she looked up, her expression softening when she saw him.

"Were you waiting for me?" she asked, her voice tinged with surprise. Sunjae felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment, and he quickly averted his gaze. "No," he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper. Sol's brow furrowed in confusion, but she didn't press him further. Instead, she stepped closer to him, a small smile playing on her lips. "Well, I'm glad you're here," she said warmly, reaching out to gently squeeze his arm. "Let's go to school together, okay?". Sunjae nodded, his heart fluttering at her touch.

As the bus lurched forward, Sol and Sunjae found themselves pressed close together amidst the crowded aisle. Their hands instinctively sought the same handle for support, their fingers brushing against each other in the cramped space. Sol could feel Sunjae's warmth radiating beside her, his presence comforting in the chaos of the crowded bus. As the bus jolted to a sudden stop, Sol lost her balance, stumbling forward. In that split second, Sunjae reacted, his reflexes kicking in as he reached out to steady her. His arms wrapped around her instinctively, pulling her close to him to prevent her from falling. But as Sol collided with him, Sunjae felt something unexpected in his stomach— no, it was not butterflies, it was something more soft. His cheeks flushed crimson as he realized that it was Sol's chest pressed against his stomach.

----------------------------------

Sunjae hurried into his classroom, still feeling the heat in his cheeks from the unexpected encounter on the bus. He slid into his seat just as the bell rang, trying to ignore the curious glances from his classmates, especially from his friend, Inhyuk. Inhyuk leaned in, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Hey, Sunjae, what's with the red cheeks? Did something interesting happen on your way here?" he teased, nudging Sunjae playfully. Sunjae forced a casual shrug, trying to maintain his composure. "Nah, it's nothing," he replied, attempting to brush off the question with a nonchalant wave of his hand.

----------------------------------

Sunjae's mom Choi Aera was busy buying vegetables from the nearby market, when a middle aged man suddenly approached her. She studied the man in front of her, his demeanor confident yet unassuming. He introduced himself as Kim Minsuk but it didn't ring any bells to her brain.

"Mrs. Ryu," the man repeated with a friendly smile, "I'm Kim Minsuk, from MT Entertainment. I hope you don't mind me approaching you like this, but I wanted to talk to you about your son." Aera on the other hand, still confused couldn't fathom why a casting director would be seeking her out in the midst of the bustling market. "Sunjae?" Aera echoed, her voice tinged with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. "What about him?"

"I had the pleasure of seeing Sunjae perform recently. He's got real talent, Mrs. Ryu. His voice, his stage presence... they're truly something special. I believe he has the potential to go far in the music industry, I want to cast him as a member of our new boygroup", the man replied. Aera's heart swelled with a mother's pride at the praise heaped upon her son. Sunjae's passion for music had always been evident, his voice filling their home with warmth and melody. But the idea of him pursuing a career in singing felt like stepping into the unknown, like navigating uncharted waters without a compass.

"I appreciate your offer," Aera finally spoke, her voice soft but resolute. "But I don't want my son to pursue a career in that field, thank you."

Kim Minsuk, the man who couldn't take no as an answer, wasn't ready for this. He wouldn't give up this easily. He started to brainstorm ideas on how to convince the lady in front of him. He looked at her shoes, they were torn. Her clothes, probably a decade old. He knew how to convince this lady now.

"Ma'am how long are you planning to wear this torn shoes? Wouldn't it be better if they were of Gucci's? I know everyone wants to be rich, is there any person who doesn't wants to be rich? With you sending your son to train under MT i can gurantee for his future. You know right singers earn more than an average man? You know how much our exisiting artists earn? With an opportunity like this, you shouldn't let it go", he says.

Aera contemplated for a second, thinking about it. Well it's indeed true a singer earns more than a average man and sunjae isn't that of a bright student. She takes the man's card telling him that she'll think about it.
