Sasuke's P.O.V

I was laying in my room thinking about the training session I'd had with Winter, the entire time I was holding back and trying to find her weak points. Granted, she had the same stamina as me, and she was just as good as me with a blade but what I do know now, is that even though ninjutsu cannot affect her, she can still see it.

I roll over onto my side, my onyx hair falling into my eyes. Back in the forest, she had seen the ball of fire come at her, but because it was ninjutsu it didn't hurt her at all. She could see my shadow clones, it wouldn't have hurt her but I did succeed in confusing her. She didn't know which one was the real me, I could use that to increase my defense and my attack. I could sneak up on her with a bunch of shadow clones around me and she would have to try and fight every single one until she found me.

My hand tightened and reached for my kunai as I heard a knock at my door. Using my Sharingan I saw that it was only Kabuto standing outside. Standing up, I open the door. "Kabuto, nice to see you again," I smirked, he hated me... the feeling was mutual.

"You are looking cheery as ever, Sasuke-Kun." His glasses reflected the candlelight, enhancing his untrustworthy appearance. "Lord Orochimaru wishes to speak with you."

As I was walking down the tunnels, taking lefts and rights, I finally arrived at Orochimaru's room.

Orochimaru was much younger than he was supposed to be. Every few years he takes a new vessel to keep himself young, I am his next one.

When I sought Orochimaru out I figured going with him was the only way to get strong enough to beat Itachi, my older brother. But I only had three years to train and get stronger, otherwise, I would end up as Orochimaru's new vessel before achieving my goal. But, if I have to become Orochimaru's vessel to gain power, then so be it.

"You wanted to see me, Lord Orochimaru?" I asked as I walked in. Out of respect, I bowed and straightened to look him in the eye.

"Yes, Sasuke-Kun," he smiled his 'you're not going to like what I am about to say' smile and met my gaze. "Winter is going to be staying with us for a while-"

"-Do you want her to be your new vessel, Lord Orochimaru?" I cut him off. I shot at him, "She is going to replace me, that is what you're about to say is it not?" My anger was leaking all over my body.

"Of course not, Sasuke-Kun. I would never replace you." He chuckled and an evil grin spread across his face. "But she could be my vessel after you, don't you think? Completely resistant to ninjutsu and Genjutsu." He spoke more to himself than to me.

I instantly relaxed, so he hadn't given up on me after all. I don't understand why, but having Orochimaru's attention is a necessity. I want him to know that he can depend on me, if he doesn't I feel empty. Maybe that is one of the side effects of having his dang curse mark on the back of my neck.

"She is going to be staying with us for a while, so I would like you to teach her to speak Japanese," Orochimaru said as if it was the simplest thing in the world.

I tensed again, teach her Japanese?! I would rather stick pins in my eyes.

"Lord Orochimaru, I would do anything for you, but not this." I glared at Kabuto who was now smiling like a four-year-old who had just received his Christmas present.

Orochimaru stood up and walked slowly towards me. He calmly lifted my head with his hand and looked deeply into my eyes.

Instantly I was paralyzed, I could see anger burning in his eyes. I tried to keep my face blank, not letting any emotion show.

"What, did you say? Sasuke-Kun?" He calmly spoke.

It was like walking through a minefield, one wrong move and you are gone.
