⚠️Tw: anxiety, loss of hearing, panic attack⚠️

Louis' pov:
Harry pulled into the student parking lot at school. I'm so nervous to be back after the accident, I can feel my heart beating fast like it's coming out of my chest.

Harry places his hand onto my thigh making my heart calm down slightly, I rest my head on his shoulder and we wait in the car until my heart and breathing calms down and to a better rhythm and I'm ready to go inside.

I don't think I'm ever going to be ready to walk back through the big double doors and enter the crowded hallways.

Harry opens the door for me and holds me close to him as we walk through the extremely crowded hallways.

Harry opens another door and leads us both inside, I stay cuddled into his side as I don't feel like looking or talking to anyone else right now.

Harry intwines our hands and he begins leading me down another hallway. He is holding a piece of paper with my name on it and I think it's my time table I don't know really.

I felt Harry let go of my hand and then tapped me on my head a few times before I looked up at him.

"Hey beautiful" harry signed.

"Hi" I signed.

"We have to go talk to the principal about some things with your classes" he signed.

"Do we have to" I signed.

"Well you can sit there and look pretty like you always do while I do the talking" Harry signed.

"Okay" I signed.

We walked into the principal's office and sit down on the chairs in front of us.

I was so nervous, I could feel my hands literally shaking and my leg was bobbing up and down...

Harry's pov:
Lou is completely zoned out from the conversation I am having with the principal right now. I had to get Louis changed into my classes as he can't lip read at all yet.

And i don't know how many teachers really want to sign while teaching so I am going to do it until Lou can get a translator for school.

We have an appointment this afternoon to get him fitted for hearing aids to hopefully help him until we can find other solutions that might work better for him.

"The only class I can not move Louis from is his art class as there are no other ones one when you have music. If he wants to go into your music class then he can but it is his choice" the principal explained.

I glanced over at Louis, who was staring blankly at the colorful posters on the office walls. Art class was probably a good thing for him.

He always loved drawing and painting, and it might be one of the few things that feels familiar right now.

But music was my thing, and having him in my class would mean I could keep an eye on him, make sure he wasn't missing out on anything.

"I'll talk to him about it," I replied, turning back to the principal. "I think he'll want to stay in art, though. It's always been his favorite."

The principal nodded understandingly. "We can revisit his schedule later if needed. Just let us know how things are going. We want to support him as best we can."

As we left the office, I gently nudged Louis's shoulder to get his attention. "Hey, Lou. We're done here. Ready to go?" I signed.

He blinked a few times, coming back to reality, and gave a small nod. As we walked down the hallway, I tried to gauge his mood.

It was hard to tell what he was thinking or feeling these days. Everything had changed so quickly for him.

"Do you want to stay in art class, or would you rather switch to music with me?" I asked, signing as I spoke to make sure he caught everything.

Louis hesitated, his fingers twitching as if unsure whether to sign back or not. Finally, he signed, "Art."

"Okay," I said with a smile. "Art it is."

We continued walking, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and worry. The hearing aids might help, but they were just a temporary fix.

We needed to find a long-term solution that would allow Louis to thrive, both in and out of school. But for now, we'd take it one step at a time...
