[Author's POV]
Sakusa stared ahead at his computer monitor with a frown etched on his face. It had been more than a week by now, and Kenma along with some of the people in PR had been working hard to handle what had been going on. His eyes scanned over the information Kenma had managed to gather on the individual who posted all of the things about Atsumu online. They still did not have a name for the individual, but they had enough information to have the person cornered. Hiding behind a simple thing like a VPN won't do him much good, especially since Kenma was the one looking out for whoever it was.
"How are things going on your end?"
The man sighed and looked down at his phone which was still on speaker mode connected to Komori's call.
"Fine, I'm just making some arrangements with the repairmen on how to fix these walls. They have truly seen better days," Komori said as the sound of people in the background picking up trash came through. "Just make sure you all arrange for a new lock to be installed and don't cheap out."
Komori stared at his phone for a bit before smiling.
"Wow, look at you pulling all the stops for Atsumu. Next, you'll be installing a hot tub in his apartment." A small giggle followed that comment. Sakusa frowned a bit but continued to type on his computer.
"Maybe. You can put that idea in the consideration pile," he said which kept Komori quiet. That is when he knew that the other would stop with his antics and continue working.
The call was hung up shortly after, and Sakusa let out a sigh before standing up and heading out of his office. The brief silence that hung in the air was in a way, killing him, and he needed to find a place that would help him think properly. Some place where it did not feel like the walls were caving in on him. These were the same walls that once witnessed the laughter and camaraderie he shared with Atsumu which now echoed a silence that weighed on him like chains.
That is how he would soon end up at a park a bit away from home. The view was intoxicatingly calm and normal. Something Sakusa wished he had, and yet, he longed for the one person he couldn't have to sit right next to him. Sakusa had long understood his feelings for the blond but never wanted that to interfere with his plans. His plans to grow and become something he wished to maintain until he would grow tired. A selfish wish that in a way ruined his perceptions of success.
On the other hand, Atsumu would sit inside looking out of the bay windows of Osamu's guest room with tears filling his eyes. That is how he spent the utterly exhausting two weeks after leaving Sakusa's place. Trying to understand where everything went wrong, and most of all, trying to understand why the other refused to talk to him.
It did not take him long to realize that he had been blocked which deeply ached his sole. Just the thought is enough to bring the other to spill tears before roughly wiping them away. It made him angry that things had to end this way, and most of all, it made him angry that Sakusa was not willing to come and face him. Especially now after hearing what his plan was with him after Iwaizumi and Komori told him everything. Everything including the plan that Atsumu would be able to help him recover from the cheating scandal.
That indeed felt like a punch to the gut, and Atsumu wondered if he would be able to forgive him. If he would be able to forgive the other for the sense of abandonment and betrayal he was feeling. Atsumu couldn't care less if someone had broken in or damaged his things. He only cared what the other had to do with it all.
"Atsumu?"
The blond refused to look away from his reflection on the glass window as Suna's voice came through the door. Only, once again, the other knocked a bit more loudly. "Come on, you can't stay in there forever. You have to eat," he said. Atsumu frowned at that before snapping back.
