Chapter 18 Clues

Eriol had taken Tomoyo back to her home. She said nothing had happened. But she just wanted him to be there and let her fall asleep. She held Eriol's hand tightly as she fell asleep. Eriol brushes a strand of her hair away from her face. He was worried someone was planning to hurt her. He kisses Tomoyo's forehead.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't able to protect you from this." Eriol whispered.

Eriol thought about who would hire someone to hurt her. Tomoyo was a sweetheart to everyone. She was very kind. The only person he thought would hurt her was Jin. He promises to himself he would make Jin pay if it was him. Tomoyo didn't need any more problems to happen in her life. He will try to help forget today. He laid his head down next to her and his eyes slowly closed as he fell asleep next to her.

Syaoran had gotten home late and was worried about Eriol and Tomoyo. He had never seen Eriol so distressed as he had tonight. Syaoran thought it was weird that Tomoyo had gotten kidnapped. He felt the urge to investigate it. Eriol and Syaoran had thrown the man into a cellar of an abandoned building that Eriol's family had purchased. Eriol sent people to watch him until they came back to interrogate him.

Syaoran came back and felt something was out of place in his room. He looked everywhere in his room and felt someone move something. He went to his computer and noticed his computer was still on. He thought that perhaps Meiling was going through his stuff again. When they were younger she had always touched his stuff. He looked at his desk and saw his laptop was angled differently than normal. He really hoped she hadn't looked at his computer. He moved the computer back to the original spot.

He had forgotten to respond back to Ying Fa's email. He went to bed and would deal with Meiling in the morning.

The next morning Hua had received a phone call from someone. She had smiled and quickly frowned when she heard an update from them. She screamed at the phone and swiped the desk from the things on top.

"Why can't you guys do anything right!" Hua yelled. She had called the best person to do the job in kidnapping Tomoyo. She was so angry. Her phone rang a text message of the girl they had kidnapped. She looked at it for a few moments and realized it was the wrong girl.

"Who is this girl?" she demanded.

"This is the girl you asked, Tomoyo." the person responded.

"No, this isn't the girl." Hua said. She was sure that was her name. She thought about it a little longer. If this wasn't the girl what was that girl's name?

"Ms. Wang, this is the information that you provided us. You do know her family is well known in Japan. We didn't know that beforehand. How will you compensate us?" the person said.

Hua glups. She didn't know Tomoyo was someone not to deal with in Japan. She had just got here and didn't even know what she got herself into. "I-I do apologize."

"It is okay. The next time we do a cooperation, please do your research and give us the correct information. Otherwise, the consequences may not be taken so lightly." warned the person.

"Su Lan, do not threaten me." Hua demanded.

Su Lan smiles and responds, "I am not threatening you. I am merely reminding you what I can do to you."

Hua clenches her phone tightly and responds, "Of course you are. Well if you are done reminding me I have businesses to attend to." She hangs up the phone and looks at her phone. So Tomoyo was not the girl, that was unfortunate. She would just have to make sure to get the right girl next time.
