*~*~*~
Eunha swallowed the rice in her mouth, then remembered what had happened in a dream. Her sister waited for her as soon as she left the house.
They walked along a forest path in the spring sunlight. When she asked her sister what she wanted to do, she replied that she wanted to live with her for a long time. Then she said she would make Eunha's favorite red bean rice cake.
That scene made her so sad that she cried. Although she was not dead, her heart broke because she thought she would never see her again.
"What happened in the dream was just a dream, right?"
Eunha, who was holding a spoon, asked Gari. She, who folded her arms like a housewife, told her not to ask such trivial questions.
"You shouldn't care unless you dream."
"That's not what I meant..."
"Anyway, eat quickly."
Eunha roughly shoved the food into her mouth, then drank some cold water. She was so anxious that she hadn't even tied up her hair.
Could it be that my lord skipped a meal because I was asleep? No. If he needed help, he would have ordered someone to wake me up.
Eunha remembered the kiss she had had in the bathroom. Her heart pounded. She didn't think she would mind that kiss, she thought it would be like eating candy. She couldn't forget the sensation she felt in her mouth.
What happened was nothing more than an impulsive act.
She swallowed her fear as she stopped in his room.
"I'm Eunha."
Yuljae, who always guarded the door, was nowhere in sight. Jihak answered,
"Come in."
She swallowed dry saliva, then opened the paper door with a stern expression. He held an unlit pipe in his hand. The cold wind blowing chilled her body. Eunha rubbed the goose bumps on her arms.
"I brought you dinner."
"I have no appetite."
"In that case..."
"Didn't you say earlier that there was a book I'd really like?"
She lowered her head.
"I'll go back to my room. I didn't bring the book."
Eunha involuntarily hid her hands behind her back as she felt his gaze.
Her heart was pounding because she was afraid Jihak would grab her.
"Then read that book to me tomorrow."
Eunha resumed her steps. She wasn't wearing a jacket, so the cold made her shiver. But she calmly walked over to Jihak and picked up a book.
The book she had last read three days ago had her hair tie. After she retrieved the hair tie, she warmed her frozen hands with her breath.
Before she knew it, he grabbed her wrist and ran his hand up her goose-bumped arm.
"...Your clothes are very fine."
