"Alright, listen up!" Shouted the Captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch.

It was a cloudy afternoon. There was no glimpse of sunlight, clashing with the grassy fields of the Quidditch Field. It was windy. Though it wasn't strong, it was weak. It was just perfect for tryouts. Audiences were sitting amongst the seats that surrounded the fields. One of these audiences was Hermione and Luna, and then that one guy from Gryffindor that Hermione had mentioned. The man who thinks girls like him.

Cormac.

"I guess we only have 3 people who wanted to be a seeker." The captain, Jewel Evergreen, said as she held onto her bat and placed it on her shoulder.

Evergreen was promoted to captain ever since she became a fifth year. I have heard from Harry that she was one of the best beaters in Hogwarts. She has given great contributions every time the team won and many have said that she has a talent for disrupting players which is why Ravenclaws would win. Ravenclaws were quite competitive too. However, as Harry has mentioned, Evergreen is indeed competitive, but not as much as competitive as their previous captain in Gryffindor, Oliver Wood. Evergreen did not want to put much pressure on her team, for she wanted to let the team enjoy the game, whether they won or not.

"I do hope you all have mastered flying your brooms and you could fly it fast enough to catch the golden snitch." She smiled. "Just remember, The golden snitch is..."

Sitting amongst the benches in the Gryffindor section. Hermione, Luna, Harry, Ron, and Neville were there, and far from them — at about two benches down — was Cormac, who I find unpleasing. I mean...he's attractive, yes, but it's his personality that makes him unattractive. He only has the looks, but never the personality. No wonder why no girls wanted him.

"New girl, are you listening?" The captain's voice made me turn my eyes back to her.

"Yes, I am..." I said, flickering my eyes and slightly stuttering with my words.

"Very well then." She smiled, pressing her bat on the grassy fields. "Shall we get started and see how quick you all are to catch the golden snitch."

As the team started to move to the centre, I looked up one last time to my friends before we proceeded to the tryouts. They were waving at me with a smile gleaming on their faces. I returned a wave too as I went to walk to the team. Just as when I was walking, my eyes caught something. Something that I didn't wish to see amongst the benches.
