The crew was a rowdy bunch — far rowdier than the Straw hats, and far less nice and polite. Kidd winked at me as they all toasted, some booze splashing in his face. I smiled at him. It was charming and actually a little cute.
I meandered around the deck, getting rammed into by rowdy men drinking up a storm, peaking into a couple rooms before landing on the kitchen. In it was a transponder snail. I eyed it warily as I approached, reaching out to it.
"Wanna call your friends?" A gruff voice said from behind me, making me jump.
"Hey! I'm sorry." I said, turning to face Kidd.
"Why are you sorry?" He blinked. "You're welcome to call them! It's not like I'm taking you hostage!" He said, scratching his head.
"W-well I..." I looked down at my feet. You don't like these people, that's why I'm sorry.
I could hear him approaching me and looked up. Standing at 6'9", he absolutely towered over me. He snatched me by the hips and lifted me gruffly onto the counter, making me yelp.
"What's the secret?" He said, his eyes boring into me. Now that I was on the counter, he was more eye level with me. His hands moved to my knees, spreading them apart as he stepped closer. "Do you even wanna tell me right now? Or maybe you want to..." he leaned in a little, stealing a gasp from me as he yanked me closer to him. "Do something else?"
He brought his lips to mine, starting slow and soft, before slowly amping up into a more passionate kiss. All I could hear was our rough breathing as my hands laced into his hair, pulling him closer to me. With every kiss, he was stealing more and more of my breath, and sending chills throughout my body. I tried to speak, but all that managed to escape was a few curse words as his hands moved around my body.
His hands got rougher and I found myself rocking my body into him. It only fueled the fire as he bit the bottom of my lip and pulled away, making me shudder. He then moved to my neck, biting a little harder than he needed to, waking me up from my daze.
"Kidd." I whispered. He hummed into my neck, moving down to my chest. "Woah woah woah, KIDD!" I said, pushing him away. "I have a confession to make!" I said, still panting.
He looked at me, his eyes narrowing as he growled out a short What?!
"I'm... traveling with the straw hats." I said, maintaining my gaze with him. He huffed a little, obviously miffed by the new information. He leaned over and grabbed the transponder snail, still maintaining eye contact as he dialed.
"Hello?" A very sad and pathetic sounding voice croaked from the other line. Is that Luffy? Why does he sound like that?
"Hey Straw Hat. It's Kidd."
"I'm not really in the mood, Jaggy." It IS Luffy.
"Think you will be a minute. I got your little stow away here. Does the name Misaki ring any bells to you? Says she wants to go home."
"What? Misaki's there?!?! Where are you guys?!?!" He said, the transponder snail suddenly getting super animated.
"Relaaax, Straw Hat. Get your navigator on the phone and I'll tell you guys how to find us."
"Nami! NAMI!.... She's coming... is Misaki there right now?!?!" He said, the transponder snail rattling around on the counter.
"I'm right here, Luffy!"
"Are you hurt?!?!" He yelled.
"No, I'm ok!" I said, trying to sound cheery as I tore my eyes away from Kidd. Tears began to rattle out from the snail, making my stomach do a flip.
"You scared me! You scared all of us!"
"Straw Hat! You're getting my counter soaked! Knock it off with the waterworks!" Kidd growled, rolling his eyes. Our eyes met again and I winced at his withering stare.
"I'm ok, Luffy! I promise! I'll see you soon—"
"Misaki?! Is that Misaki?!" Nami said, cutting me off. "Where are you?!"
"If you would let me talk, I'll tell you where to go!" Kidd snapped.
Kidd finished up the conversation, giving Nami the coordinates before hanging up the phone. He looked back at me, his eyes narrowing.
"Happy?" He said, a little stingy. I nodded, smiling at him sweetly.
"Thank you." I said.
A small pout formed at the bottom of his lip as he looked at me. "Look, I know you want to go back to those pansies, but I like you, 'Saki."
"I know." I said, biting my lip.
He sighed, knowing what my answer would be before even asking. "Just know the offer is there."
"Thanks, Kidd." I said again.
"Yeah yeah yeah" he said, looking away for a minute. When his eyes drew back to mine, a wry grin plastered onto his face. "Look, it doesn't have to be a decision you know. If you wanted... I mean... do you wanna just fuck?"
