"What do you mean Sonic's gone?" Amy looked at Tails in concern.

Tails took a deep breath to try and steady himself. Waking up this morning to a notification about a spike in Sonic's chaos energy and said hedgehog being nowhere that Tails could find had him a bit on edge. It was far too familiar to when Sonic had left the first time. Knowing that Sonic was out there alone somewhere after odd things had been happening. He shook his head to clear it from the comparisons. It wasn't like that this time. "It's like I said when I got up this morning he wasn't anywhere. I figured he might be out for a run but when he didn't come check in around lunch time I got concerned..." Tails trailed off. "I don't want to jump to conclusions but..."

"You're worried based on what happened before?" Amy finished, shooting him a sympathetic look. Tails nodded in confirmation. "Well. Looks like we'll have to go find him then. Lucky for you I'm pretty skilled in tracking him down." She winked.

Tails chuckled despite the situation. "Guess I couldn't ask for someone better to help huh?"

"You've got that right. Now c'mon let's go find him before he can find some sort of trouble." Amy gestured for Tails to follow her. While he privately thought Amy's sentiment of them finding Sonic before trouble did was nice, Tails had a bad feeling that wouldn't be the case.

"Ok Super, calm down..." He paced back and forth. At this point he'd already worn down a neat line in the vegetation from how long he'd been pacing. Honestly he didn't even know where he was. He'd warped to one of the places he'd glanced at during his first time in control just because it seemed remote. Well he'd gotten his wish. There didn't seem to be another living soul here besides the wildlife. He put his head in his hands and groaned as he yet again failed to hand control back to Sonic. There was no indication that Sonic was even still there. His initial hopes of Sonic just being asleep still completely dashed after several hours of nothing. This had never happened before. Well, at least not like this.

When he'd first taken over it had been pretty easy to suppress Sonic in order to make sure he remained in control, and by the hedgehog's own admission he didn't really remember anything from that time. Though Super had never had a problem handing control back. Keeping it sure, but giving it up? Never. It wasn't like he was actively trying to suppress Sonic either. Right? No. Why would he do that? That would only end badly for him as soon as he lost control. Any semblance of trust he'd managed with Sonic would be completely gone.

He paused in his pacing and let his hands fall back down to his sides. Although if he did actively suppress Sonic then he wouldn't have to worry about the consequences... He shook his head. No. Sonic's friends would be more than capable of figuring something out. Especially with all the data Tails had on him now. He sighed in frustration as he cast an eye out over the thick vegetation. No, he needed to figure this out then do his best to explain to Sonic that he wasn't doing this on purpose. Hopefully the hedgehog would believe him.

His ears perked up at the noise of footsteps. They stood out clearly against the other noises of the jungle. Now he was on edge. Why was anyone even out here? Maybe he should leave; he couldn't really guarantee that he wouldn't seriously hurt or do worse to someone right now if they startled him. Instead though he stayed, maybe some part of him wanted to be found. He didn't really know.

Though he immediately regretted his decision as the absolute last person he wanted to see came into view. This was going to end poorly; he could feel it. Shadow paused as he saw Super, The surprised look on his face quickly morphed into a guarded look. He didn't seem like he was outright going to attack, but Super could see the tension in the other hedgehog's body. "What are you doing here?" Shadow asked, eyes locking with Super in a slightly challenging way.
