Akai was silent as Reisamu dodged his questions and the looks he sent her. He didn't understand why she didn't want to tell James sooner so they could retrieve the file and potentially set an ambush for Gin.

"It's in such a short amount of time, it'd be more risky since we'd only make sloppy work." She dismissed averting her eyes as she focused on her meal. Which was an extra spicy plate of curry. Which she paired with a caffe affogato, which was a glass of coffee with scoops of vanilla ice cream on top.

She placed a spoonful of curry and rice in her mouth, exhaling as the dish was hot and spicy. Akai sighed, he'll interrogate her later as he proceeded to eat his own orders as well, having gotten hungry.

The brown haired girl wondered if she should tell Akai about Conan and why she wanted Conan to confront the organization. It probably was hard to believe, perhaps Akai may have a hard time trusting Conan since he was shrunken to a kid.

Once they were finished with their meals they left having already paid. Reisamu licked her lips, she could still taste the sweet vanilla on her lips, it made her lips feel a bit sticky. She hated feeling sticky. Akai seemed to noticed it, and had taken her to a phone booth.

He towered over her, blocking the door. She was not surprised, having expected the man to take her somewhere for interrogation when she least suspected it. "Now are you going to stop dodging my questions?" he asked staring down at her with a passive face.

She scoffed "You wouldn't believe me if I tried to tell you." "Try me," he challenged eyes narrowing at her. She sighed looking away from him "truthfully it is not my story to tell, there is someone who I believed to be an actual threat to the black organization, more so than you."

She bit her lips, it still felt sticky no matter how much she licked her lips. Akai's jaw clenched at her actions as he pulled out a cigarette and a box of matches, "and you believe that they'll do a better job than the FBI tonight?" he questioned.

Reisamu thought it over, the FBI had a whole squad if not more, but some of them she believed to be highly incompetent, or maybe her standards were to high, apart from that Conan could easily approach Gin if he actually acted like a child. She winced "I suppose I believe quality over quantity. He's worth more than your other agents." She offered as an answer.

He struck the match at the side of the box, igniting it. He brought the lit match to the end of the cigarette, watching it burn and smoke came from it. Reisamu blew the match and waved her hands, coughing at the smoke that filled the telephone booth.

"Ass." She cursed him out as she walked out the phone booth "Don't smoke in a telephone booth." He simply sent a shit eating grin her way as he followed her out the small space. "I'll see how well this person does tonight." He told her "If he fails, then don't rely on him anymore."

She rolled her eyes "I bet after this, the more you bump into each other you'll start to rely on him more and more." and in response the man scoffed. It was snowing tonight, she felt a bit cold having been underdressed in this weather.  Akai having seen her shiver reached his hand out to her. He cupped her cheek, his thumb reaching to her lips, wiping it "Stop biting and licking your lips in public." he stated to her confusion.

"Do you want to borrow my jacket again?"

Her heart rate seemed to pick up at her action, and her lips didn't feel so sticky anymore, before she could reply they heard a voice.
