reencarnated (book one)

The most loyal servant (-Mr. E & Cryptor.)

I don't remember what led us to going back to their base, but we found ourselves inside once again, this time, in this room with this giant crystal. That bleach blonde girl named Harumi paced around as she spoke to Lloyd about something to do with being all alone, balance, blah blah blah.

I really didn't absorb anything she said, to be honest.

All of the sudden, the snake girl, Aspheera started saying these words, magic words I think. Harumi began speaking.

"Crystal king, my lord. Follow my voice. It is I, Harumi! I summon you forth!" She said. "Break free of your bonds. Take form! I summon you back to your rightful place as supreme leader of ninjago!"

I watched as this powerful being emerged from the crystal. He had such a familiar laugh.

"Yes." He said to Lloyd. "What was it the last time we fought, hmm? Oh, yes."

"The overlord..?!" Lloyd gasped.

I almost didn't hear him, but I knew it was him.

"This ends now..." The overlord laughed.

I looked over at Cryptor, he seemed to be smiling like a crazy person.

He reached over to the disk.

"Wait wait wait!" I hissed, "Don't-"

It was too late, he had taken it off. Revealing himself. He called out from the shadows.

"My lord!" He laughed. Everyone turned, including Lloyd.

"What the hell..?" Harumi muttered. "Intruder!"

Cryptor stepped into the light. Earning yells and gasps from nearly everyone.

"Wait, you're still alive-?!"

"How did you get in here..." Aspheera hissed, Vangelis and Mr. F armed their weapons.

"Wait is that-" The mechanic whispered.

"Oh you have GOT to be kidding me." Pythor complained.

"My lord of darkness, who is-" Harumi began.

"SILENCE!" The overlord shouted, he silenced them.

"...Cryptor..." the overlord muttered. He stepped towards him.

"My lord, who-"

"Silence, Harumi!" The overlord interrupted.

Cryptor kneeled down at the overlords feet.

"Cryptor, my first general. My most devoted follower." He mused. "You shouldn't be alive right now, but here you are, right in front of me."

Cryptor nodded.

"I have returned, I offer my service." Cryptor said. "My faith has never wavered."

The overlord nodded.

"Hm." He said. "Unfortunately, you have no army."

"You seem to have one already." Cryptor replied.

"Exactly, and I already have a few generals." The overlord smiled. "I have no use for another one, especially one that has failed me."

"I-... I did not 'fail'!" Cryptor argued, "all of us did!"

"Well I am reborn now, but you still stay the exact same." The overlord said. "I do not reuse unreliable assets."

Cryptor stood up and pointed to Pythor.

"You keep him!" Cryptor hissed. "What is the difference?!"

"That is not your decision to make." The overlord laughed. "And I already have a nindroid on my team."

He gestured to Mr. F.

"I don't need you." He said. "I know not how you are alive, but you do not do me any good. You are simply a loose end."

Cryptor looked beyond angry. He pulled out one of his swords from his back. Several members armed their own weapons but the overlord told them to put it away.

"You stand against me, Cryptor?" He laughed at me. "Really? Defy your original purpose?"

"I renounce you." I said. "You and your little gang of freaks."

The overlord glared at me. Rightfully so.

"My lord, please." Harumi interrupted. "Allow us to destroy him!"

"You may try." The overlord said. "But it takes more than a good  weapon to destroy him. I saw to that."

Damn right, I wasn't the general of robotic soldiers just because.

Pythor was the first to come up, he wrapped his tail around me while invisible, a cheap trick I knew all about. I broke out and hit him against the floor by the tail. Sending him whining and complaining. The Mechanic followed suit. I now just realized The Mechanic had taken a part of a nindroid mask and had put in on his face.

"You think you're so tough, well I don't have to be a nindroid to defeat you with my-"

I knocked him right on his forehead with the butt of my sword, sending him stumbling back.

"No, I'd think I can." I laughed, kicking The Mechanic away.

I was immediately attacked from the other side, the skull sorcerer blasted me with weird poisonous green fire. A few blasts hit me, I'll admit, but I flipped up and kicked that Vangelis guy right in the stomach, sending him flying to the ground.

"Oh you'll pay!" Aspheera hissed, raising her sceptre as Mr. F raised his gun to me.

I grabbed my other sword from my back, now having two in my hands. I was able to deflect Mr. F's lasers, but it seemed to be all over when Aspheera hit me with a blast from her staff.

I was raised into the air by the staff while the council members recovered. Aspheera's arm shook.

"What's wrong?" Pythor mocked. "Can't hold him?"

"At least I was able to contain him, you weren't able to do so, besides... he's full of overwhelming dark energy!"

My robotic body shook as I tried to get out of whatever spell the snake girl had put me in.

The Overlord looked apon me, I seemed to twist and shake as I tried to fight Aspheeras magic.

"Of course he's made with dark energy, he was practically myself incarnate." The overlord said. "But it also means he's a good source of power."

"Dismantle him." The overlord commanded.

I shouted as I began to break free. I was filled with rage, probably my most dominant emotion.

"I-..." Aspheera huffed. "I can barely hold him!"

"Tch- useless." The Overlord scowled. "I will do it myself."
