Freydís jumped in surprise as Beo crashed through the upward drawbridge, superhero landing beside her.
Beo stood before smiling at Freydís and aiming finger guns at her, "Hey there, cutie! Ready for the night of your life?"
Fteydís smiled and rolled her eyes, "Must you always make a show out of things?"
"Oh course!" Beo said, flexing her right bicep. "Why? Not enjoying it?"
Freydís shook her head, still smiling. "Let's just get this night going and I'll enjoy the show later, okay?"
"Follow me!" Beo said, beginning a confident stride into town.
Freydís happily followed behind Beo, looking around the city as they went. Though, she did take a few peeks at how Beo was walking when she had the chance.Beo led Frey to a large, white building, stained glass with images of food depicted on the outside. An electronic sign above the front opening read "5% off any appetizer."
Beo jumped dozens of steps at a time to get to the front of the restaurant.
It was a dozen steps for Freydís.
When they headed inside, they found that this place was decorated less like a restaurant and more like a cartoon mansion. There were dozens of elaborate lighting pieces on the ceiling, a dozen buffet islands lined the center of the floor, tapestries of sigils and historical events decorated the walls, an entire orchestra played at the far end of the building, with the statue of a golden bull being bowed down to as a centerpiece.
"Fancy." Freydís said.
"Expensive!" Beo answered.
A man in a sharply dressed robe approached the couple, "My name Souja, how many I help you two.....uh.....'lovely' ladies?"
Beo responded, "Names Beowulf. You might've heard of me?"
Souja looked Beo up and down for a second, choosing his words wisely. Then, he answered, "Yes, I have."
Beo turned to Freydís, "How's it feel dating a celebrity?"
Freydís shook her head again, smiling.
"So, table for two?" He questioned.
He led the two to a table far away in the corner of the building. They were almost impossible to see, being surrounded by stage equipment and instruments for the orchestra and were each left a plate to fill at the buffet.
Freydís held the plate between her fingers, it being only the size of her palm.
Beo gladly picked up her plate and prepared to get her food, but stopped when she noticed Frey's disappointed face. "I refuse to believe you're not hungry."
"We're supposed to fill this up to eat? They said we can only get one plate worth, but this will hardly be an appetizer!" Frey worried.
"No problem!" Beo assured her, taking both plates.
Freydís sat for a minute, trying to not go deaf from the blaring music of the orchestra and chanting of the golden bull worshippers.
"Here you go!" Beo said, placing the plate in front of Freydís.
"Thank you B- what the-" Frey started as she became bamboozled by what was before her.
Beo had tower stacked pounds upon pounds of food onto Frey's plate, even doing the same to her own.
"Be enough?" Beo asked, a glimmer of playful mockery in her voice.
Frey took a moment to process the finely balanced pillar of processed poultry and pound cake before her. After a moment, she burst into an uncontrollable cackle.
