Even after a breakup, they were friends, but not like before anymore. They were having a friendship searching for a temporary partner or maybe a soulmate. Sagar and Jhanvi's bond was too strong, so much so that they could not hide anything from each other.

Jhanvi and Sagar were both jealous of each other's friends because, somewhere, they were trying to detach themselves from each other. Jhanvi knew that she still had feelings for him, but she always suppressed them with anger and hatred.

Once she was going through menstrual disturbances, she felt so awkward that she couldn't share with her own family, but she shared with him. He suggested to her that she inform her family about this. She informed him and immediately consulted the doctor. While waiting for the doctor, she felt something and told him in the text, "I wish you were here with me.".
Sagar replied, "Of course, I would take you to the doctor; I would hug you and comfort you."
Jhanvi felt comfort in her pain.

Certain incidents melted her heart, and certain things triggered her mind. She was fighting a battle between her heart and her mind.

It was an evening when Jhanvi got news that for 3 days there wouldn't be electricity or water. She informed Sagar that for the next 3 days, she won't be able to talk to him due to the storm, which will lead to the shutdown of electricity. She even spoke to him at night before the charge got over. For the next 3 days, she was enjoying novels and living a life without the internet. Heavy rain, no current, no internet—what was left was only books and work.

As soon as she put the phone on charge, she called him after 3 days. The moment he picked her up, he questioned her regarding her absence for three days out of concern. This irritated Jhanvi; she shouted at him in a rude way, saying, "Why are you worrying about me so much? Who are you to ask me so many questions?"

These questions hurt Sagar deeply; he couldn't say a single word. He kept the phone in anger. For the next few months, their friendship was like light paper, which didn't have any emotions or feelings.

It was her birthday month when she went to the village. She was busy with work and online classes. She had no time to spend with him. He waited for several days, and one fine day he burst into anger at her. She was feeling angry until he expressed that he loved her so much, and that's why he was missing her. But nothing made Jhanvi's heart melt. She just apologized for it and tried to give him some time away from her everyday routine.

Jhanvi's parents were talking about her marriage, deep down. Jhanvi wanted to meet Sagar at least once in her life before marriage, but she was scared of intimacy. She was scared that if she called her, she would have to be convinced of intimacy. She couldn't speak her heart to Sagar. She couldn't express how much she loved him.

Jhanvi's parents had brought her a proposal. Jhanvi was like a leaf that would be carried away along with the wind. She had no specific choice; she started having feelings for most of them. When she heard about the proposal, she started dreaming about their life together, even without meeting the boy. The proposal was such that the man was 10 years older than him, and they wanted to marry him within a year. Jhanvi rejected the proposal because of her studies. She was scared that somewhere she would never be able to see Sagar in real life.

While the proposals were arriving, Sagar said, "You might be wishing to meet me, right?"
Jhanvi's heartbeat would increase, thinking about how he knows her thoughts and wishes. But she felt good that at least he knew it.

Again, the ups and downs started between Jhanvi and Sagar. Hatred and love were having a tug of war. The bond was fading away slowly, and Jhanvi was forcefully suppressing her love for him. They fought a lot, and the love was suppressed behind anger. Sagar tried to convince her, but she couldn't get convinced. Their fights became constant, until one day it hit a fire. He said, "Don't talk to me any more." He cut the call. Both had decided to part ways from now on.
