It was the next day after the whole canteen drama. Currently, their maths teacher was writing down an equation on the board while the class silently looked at it.
"Okay, students. Can any of you solve this question?" The teacher asked puting down the marker and turning towards the kids.
Taehyung and Jungkook held up their hands at the same time.
The teacher raised an eyebrow, "okay. Jungkook and Taehyung want to answer it. One of you can-"
"I'll do it!" Both of them said at the same time and then glared at eachother.
"I put up my hand first, I'm doing it."
"Like hell you did. I'm doing it."
Both of them got up from their seats, eyes still fixed at eachother with that deathly glare.
"Uh okay. Sit down you both. Jimin, solve this." The teacher said, extending his hand with the marker. Jimin nodded and got up, walking towards the teacher. Both Taehyung and Jungkook huffed and sat down reluctantly.
The class ended after a while. Everyone got up and bowed before the teacher walked out of the room. Taehyung turned his head a little and made eye contact with Jungkook, who looked him up and down and then rolled his eyes. He scoffed.
"What the hell is your problem?" Taehyung asked, turning to face the other. Both of their seats were right next to eachother on the second row.
"Your whole existence." Jungkook said and turned towards the other.
Taehyung scoffed, "if you are so bothered than change school's. Why are you still here?"
"Asking me to change school's because that's the only way you can rank first everytime?" Jungkook smirked, "pathetic."
Taehyung took a step forward, "atleast my life ain't as pathetic as yours." He leaned in an inch, "you can't even see your own parents once in two months. You would surely know how being pathetic feels like, right?" His voice was low, filled with venom and he smirked watching the look on the other's face, his words worked just like how he intended it to.
The effect of the words were visible with the way Jungkook's expression flattered for a second before it was filled with anger again. He held the other's collar and yanked him forward, "how fucking dare you-"
Taehyung chuckled, "hit too close to home, sweetheart?"
Jungkook gritted his teeths-that indeed hit too close to home. "Rich coming from someone who's father abandoned him." And now it's jungkook who's smirking, watching the cocky expression on the other's face morphing into hurt and anger. "Hit too close to home, sweetheart?" He mocked.
Taehyung held his collar, "You--"
"Guys! Enough!"
Both of shoved eachother but didn't stop glaring.
"Jesus Christ. Can't you two go one day without fighting like elementary kids?" Jimin scolded, folding his hands. Both the boys didn't reply and just walked out of the room. Jimin sighed.
"Holy shit. You guy's had to deal with this everyday for the past years?"
Jimin turned around and looked at Hoseok and groaned, taking his seat beside the other, "Everyday. You need to deal with this as well now that you are in our class and not class B anymore."
"Why do they hate eachother so much though?" Hoseok wondered.
Jin scoffed turning on his chair and facing the other two, "They just do. With the way they're always at eachothers neck you would think they murdered eachothers family."
Jimin chuckled, "At first they only disliked eachother because they're always neck to neck in everything. Studies, sports and stuff. But then the usual sarcastic remarks here and there started developing into more and, well, you can see. Now they even hurt eachother physically and not with just words."
"Those two are nice but their personalities does a whole 180° whenever the other is present." Hoseok commented.
"Back in middle school, they even got so hurt in one of their fights they almost had to repeat a whole year."
Hoseok's eyes widened, "really?"
Jimin sighed, "yeah. I think both of them were arguing on the stairs and I don't really know who pushed who or who took the other down with himself, but both of them fell down the stairs and Jungkook dislocated his knee while Taehyung had a fractured hand."
"Everyone thought maybe they will learn from that and atleast start avoiding eachother to not cause another scene but it only got worse." Jin sighed, tired.
"All this year's of insults just made their relationship so nasty, I don't think they can ever be civil with eachother." Jin commented, "But we are ending school in like one n half year, so just suck it up till then."
"Wow. Must suck for them to be in the same class with their enemy." Hoseok snickered.
Jimin laughed, "not just that, they even live in the same neighborhood."
Hoseok let out a startled laugh, "what?"
"Yeah. Imagine our shock when we found out about this." jin chuckled. "It was when both of them had to take a month off for their injuries. Both me and Jimin were on our way to Taehyung's house and saw Yoongi and Namjoon. We had a small talk and found out they were on their way to Jungkook's house. Turns out their houses are right infront of eachother, on both sides of the road."
Jimin sighed, "it would've been nice if they didn't hate eachother. They're quite similar to eachother, but well whatever. Let's go and watch the basketball game. Taehyung and Jungkook are playing."
Jin chuckled, "Yeah. Those two hate eachother but they play the best when they're together."
"Told you. They're very similar to eachother."
