Everyone went to their classrooms after the lunch break they spent on the terrace trying to make the mates understand, which only ended up with the two of them arguing.

"Do you guys think these two can actually fall for eachother?" Hoseok asked, the rest of the boy standing near the door, while the two mates argued their way to their seats.

"Do you think they can atleast stop hating eachother?" Jimin asked, sighing.

"I don't remember these two ever being civil with eachother." Namjoon scratched his head, "By the way, what do you think they meant by all that walking away and pushing away?"

The boys stared at eachothers face for a few seconds and then Yoongi sighed, "looks like none of us has any idea. Whatever. The class is about to start, let's go sit."

"See you tomorrow!" Taehyung smiled, waving at Jimin and then getting down from the bus. Followed by Jungkook.

Both of them looked at eachother and then rolled their eyes, looking away. They walked with a distance between eachother, with Taehyung in front and Jungkook behind him.

Jungkook watched as Taehyung went inside without glancing towards him again, he rolled his eyes yet again and went to his house, unlocking and entering it, closing the door behind him.

He stared at the dark, silent house and sighed. As always, he was home alone while his parents were out of country for their work. They're both renown doctors and are out of the country most of the time. Leaving him behind to live for months by himself, without seeing them.

He hates it. And he hates his parents as well. What's the point of taking care of all those people, when they can't take care of their own son?

Taehyung entered his house and as always, his mother was sitting on the sofa, staring at the tv infront of her.

"I'm back." Taehyung said and as always, he didn't get any answer back. His mom didn't even turn around or look at his side to acknowledge him. He didn't expect her to anyway.

He walked in more to see different kinds of bottles of alcohol littered infront of the sofa and on the small table infront of it. Snacks all over the floor while his mom's dazed, red eyes, stared at the tv, lifeless. She probably isn't even aware of what's playing in it.

Taehyung sighed, this wasn't anything new anyway. Everytime she had a day off from work, this was how she spent it. Taehyung doesn't even remember the last time his mom smiled at him or talked with him, until ofcourse she had to let her frustration out on something.

He walked upstairs to his room and put his bag on the study table. He looked out of the window when he saw the lights being turned on in Jungkook's room. He stared at the other's window with an unreadable expression.

Suddenly Jungkook appeared near the window, Taehyung stepped away quickly and hid behind the curtains with wide eyes, "Shit. That would've been embarrassing if he saw." He whispered to himself.

While on the other hand, Jungkook looked at Taehyung's window as well.

While Taehyung peeked out again thinking maybe Jungkook left but made eye contact with him instead.

Both of their eyes widened in shock because they didn't expect to get caught. They wanted to look away but couldn't, something seemed to hold them still.

And for a spilt second their gaze seemed to soften while looking at eachother. It was the way their heart fluttered, while staring at eachother.

And maybe that was what made Jungkook blink and look away, breaking whatever moment was going on.

Taehyung gulped, not understanding what just happened.

What the fuck was that? Both of them thought, as they walked away from the window, refusing to look back at the other again. Both of them let out a long breath.

They've always been so close, yet so far.

How the hell did they even end up being mates?
