North looked up from the car he was working on as his phone started playing, "your sister is calling you, pick up your phone. Your sister is calling you," he frowned as he wiped his hand on the rag from his back pocket, "What's up, Jess?"
"Are you busy, North?" Jessica asked with a tone that told him she was conflicted about something.
"Kinda why?" he asked as he snapped his fingers catching Brandon's attention as he hit the speaker button so he could listen in.
"Nevermind then," she sighed. "Sorry for bothering you."
"What's going on, Jess?" North asked. "Tell me now."
"That's the thing, I'm not entirely sure what is going on but there is something going on with Osiris," she sighed heavily. "We had a new kid show up and he spoke German so I thought Osiris would be friends with him and for a while they seemed to get along but I don't know. I came back from my classes and Osiris is refusing to talk to anyone and when I can get him to talk to me, it's only in German and I haven't gotten there yet, I'm still working on Egyptian Arabic. Uncle is dealing with dinner rush and Isis has that meeting with directors about new events so I really don't want to inter–"
"I'm on my way," North interrupted seconds before hanging up on her.
"I got the family," Brandon said as he pulled his phone out to open the group message.
Miss Cee's now. Something happened with Puppy, unclear now but not injured and not sick.
Stuck with patients but keep me informed.
The rest sent thumbs up emojis or said they were on their way.
North screeched up to the Montessori school and slammed on the brakes, jerking Brandon forward. "Sorry," he mumbled as he got out of his truck and stormed to the building. He heard more vehicles pull up behind him but he wasn't focused on that.
"Hey Puppy, want something to drink?" he heard Jessica ask as he walked over to the counter.
Osiris shook his head, "Nein."
"Sohn," the word slipped out of North's mouth before he even thought about it.
Osiris' face whipped over to him as his eyes lit up, "Papa!" he shouted as he raced over to him. North caught him just in time as he leaped, making North take a step back to steady himself.
"Was ist los, Sohn?" North asked as he threw Jess a look when he felt Osiris start to shake.
"Geh bitte nach Hause, Papa? Ich will jetzt nach Hause gehen. (Go home please, Daddy? Wanna go home now.)" he whimpered into North's neck.
"Okay," North nodded as he ran his hand down the little boy's back. "We'll go home right now." He barely turned, to face the group behind him that had various furious looks on their faces. "Someone get his things, he wants to leave."
"Got it," Gabe said as he slipped past North.
"Adam, what happened today?" Jessica asked as a boy around seven entered the room.
(He was talking about his dads and I just pointed out the truth. He's a bastard and his mom's a slut. My mom said so and my mom never lies. His dad ran off and his stepdad is an abusive asshole and he has no dad. My mom said his mom isn't Taylor's daughter, she's just an orphan trying to get into the Academy to have it take care of her like other sluts. She's not a real bird and he didn't like me telling him the truth.)"
"Take our son," North said through clenched teeth. Owen stepped up and took Osiris from him. Osiris laid his head in the crook of Owen's neck as Owen settled him on his hip. "Who is your mom?"
"Adam, ready to go?" A woman asked from behind the group. "I'm in a hurry."
"Beatrice," North growled. "You don't have kids. How do you know him?"
"He's my nephew," she smirked proudly. "My sister just moved back home from Germany."
"Well," He walked until he was nearly touching her then looked down in disgust, "I highly suggest you quit badmouthing our wife in front of your nephew. If I hear of him calling MY son a bastard or MY wife a slut one more time you will not like what I or the rest of my husbands will do to you and your sister." He knelt down until he was in the boy's face. "Let me make something very clear, little boy. Osiris is our son and we are his fathers. His mother is our wife and Ben Taylor is her uncle, she is not an orphan and she doesn't need us or her uncle to take care of her. His mother is OUR bird and everything your mother and your aunt has told you regarding our wife is a lie. If I hear of you upsetting our son again, not only will your mother and your aunt be in very big trouble but we will make sure you will be in trouble too. Am I understood?"
He gulped then nodded, "Yes, Sir."
"You can inform your sister that she and your nephew are no longer welcome in my establishment."
The group turned to see Cierra standing in the doorway of the hall with fury. "Are you serious?" Beatrice screeched.
"Very," Cierra glared. "I will not have that kind of attitude and thinking in my business. I have a zero tolerance rule regarding bullying and you know that. Now leave my premises immediately." Beatrice grabbed the boy's arm then stormed out, slamming the door behind her. "I'm so sorry," she immediately apologized. "I just got here, I had no idea."
"We know," Brandon nodded. "Thank you."
"Let's go home," Victor said as he grabbed Jessica's hand.
As North followed behind the group, he grabbed Corey's shoulder to lean in by his ear, "Destroy them."
